btw, the cable used is standard phone cable RJ11. The Escort Live add-on uses an RJ45 cable.
Good info here ... especially the part about situational awareness and using the radar detector as just part of your toolbox. Additionally, you should have a good understanding of how...
I'm using V1, with latest firmware and V1Connection + Android app
Also, for laser jamming and enhanced laser detection, I'm using a 4 head Laser Interceptor unit.
V1 is the best, hands down. FWIW, I just spent 60 days testing the Escort 9500ix. I used the Android version of the Escort Live...
Update: car at dealer now. Viper tech said radiator fan assembly (motor and blades) needs to be replaced. They should have the part by tomorrow afternoon and have me back on the road by COB tomorrow. Unfortunately, we're expecting 1-4" of snow tonight, so I probably won't be able to pick it...
PeterMJ - It'll definitely be going to the dealer since it's under warranty. I'm curious about how common this issue is though, and whether new factory replacement parts are hard to come by.
Garron - Thanks for the idea. I checked and didn't see any plastic bag around/in the motor. When...
I noticed a loud squeak that lasted for a couple seconds from under the hood today. Found the passenger side radiator fan was not functioning. I tried blasting the AC, and it would not come on ... it completes a couple rotations and then stops.

Is this a common...
I like the Stant locking gas caps. Mine flipped the CEL on both my 10 Viper and 09 Z06 right after installing, but I cleared the code and have had no problems since. The Stant caps are durable and good quality, and you can find them at any auto parts store. Here's the Stant part # for Gen III...
The salt is my only concern about winter driving. I keep $20 in quarters in the car and wash it off same day if I see any evidence of salt. Fortunately, we don't get alot of snow in KC, and the city doesn't use much salt.
Yep. I have a fresh set that'll be installed in April.
What's wrong with golfing in the snow? That's why they make orange golf balls and RFID golf balls. :)
Chris Brown got kicked out of his apartment building in part because he insisted on parking his Vipers in the handicapped spots.

I use my 2010 ACR as a daily driver and have not had any problems so far. I work from home though, so I don't have to deal with commuting or parking for extended periods in public.
I do park it somewhere in public just about every day though, and follow these guidelines:
* Always park in a...
IDM, as others have suggested, you shouldn't be focused on gas mileage and economical driving styles if you're driving a Viper. I also use my Viper as a daily driver (2010 ACR), and have put 5000+ miles on it in 6 months. I *always* drive it the way it is supposed to be driven, and fill it up...
