Man, I learned a bunch from this thread! Next time I take my Super Comp car to Ennis, I'm gonna forget about the 6 lbs. of air pressure I normally run in my slicks and pump those babies up to 29 psi. CRAP! I'm liable to pick up a couple of tenths!
CANT WAIT!
Congrats HawkeyeViper!
Like Chuck said, get used to waving the Mustangs, Camaros and Imports off but relish it when a vette wants to try you on.
Also, get used to the grin cuz 'it lasts a long while'.
Lastly, welcome to the Viper Nation!

What's even worse is the way they are handicapped on the track. Being made to run smaller tires and install additional weight to 'level the playing field' just pi$$es me off....

Not doubting that you read that but just to give you some reference, here's my tube chassis drag car. (850HP BBF with a glide, dana 60, 4-link and 14" X 32" slicks) This car runs 8.80's to 9.10's. Best 60' time I've EVER had was a 1.26 and that is leaving against the converter. (on the mat, no...
Re: Took the CAT\'S out and no code!!!???
Justyn, who's sims are you using? I tried three sets from two different tuners with no luck. I finally broke down and bought the sims from APEX (Bill Kaiser) and they work great!
Like Steve said, depending on what codes were set, it may not be the...
Thanks Dean. I'll check it again tomorrow. I'm sure though that the idle is fine. Feels and sounds fine and I did look to see if it was the same place as before and it was. The car feels the same as it always has at low RPM. No bucking, no difficulty negotiating congested traffic and very...
Chuck, '99 was the last year of the high profile cam. The car idles from 400 - 500 rpm. It does have a burble but definitely not a lope like a big duration cam would make it. I've put 400 miles on it since the work was done and it is still very streetable.
Another thing is that the ViperSpeed...
After contemplating different head packages for my '99 ACR, I decided to go with Bobby Archer's ViperSpeed Head Package.
The package included heads and pushrods and I added T&D roller rockers . We dynoed the car before and after and saw 77 RWHP gain which is 92 HP at the flywheel (using a 13%...

Kenny, without prepping, the only way I know is the old fashioned way, (scrubbing). But... I do know a way to make it much, much easier....
Pam (or WD-40) can be sprayed on your front fascia and that makes it where they don't stick. I did this on a recent 500 mile trip I took and it worked...
Glad it's working there, big boy, but it's still fast busy here. I've tried on AT&T 1010288 and on my LD carrier. Both carriers are 120 ips, fast busy. That's definitely a routing problem.
Tom, bad news buddy.... That number is fast-busy (120 ips).
That means it's not being routed by one or more central office switches.
Call'em up and give'em hell!
