You guys nailed it. I have the same thinking on this. All the downers need to wait and see and not be so critical. There's a reason we've had the record this long.
I'm not so quick to count the new ACR (if made) out of the equation. The P1 is a monster (and my favorite of the 3 new supers) but I don't think it's out of the ACR's league given proper tires and some time spent learning the new course in the new car.
Given how vehemently Baghdad Bob in defending the guys with blood on their hands has probably ruined his crediblity with many here. The thing about credibility is, you don't get a second chance. Leopards don't change their spots.
Why have there still been no changes? I hope more regional clubs...
I'm currently about 6k miles away from your location, but when I get a bit closer, wouldn't mind putting in some track time with you. I'm not too far from Florida. You will have to let me practice a bit before we race =P I haven't driven in about 8 months.
My thoughts exactly. It's never going to be accepted by the likes of watered down auto reporters like Lieberman and Ed Loh. I find it amusing actually that SRT decided to keep giving MT the "beater" press car and really didn't care what happened to it. SRT voiced their apathy towards MT quite...
I agree with you in that I think the Viper should have more HP. It is "easy" to get a 8.4 litre engine to 700 na. We know this because people did it with the Gen4. However, I challenge you to write a post without bringing up your Turbo S,. We get it, the Turbo S is fast in the quarter. Still...
Ha! I like Metallica and Pink Floyd but I definitely will put Master of Puppets or the Black album in my ears when going to the gym to get fired up. Pink Floyd is for reflection, not adrenaline.
Agree with Tony. From the front, it's a home run. The back, however, gives me pause. Should have stopped on the spoiler imo. Either way, I hope you're pleased with it. Grats on a beautiful car.
Those at the top of VCA have lost all credibility. It did not start with this letter. They need to leave and all records of a "non-profit" club need to be released. If these things do not happen, me and many others will never give our money to the club again.
Nitto is a great tire for the price. I have PS2s going on right now because I like the run-flat option personally just in case I run over something sharp by accident.
I have had a couple Gen 3s now and both of them I drove very hard a good portion of the time. Never had a problem with either car. Current Gen3 I have has 31k on the clock. If you plan track yours, just upgrade to a Gen 4 oil system. It doesn't cost that much.
