I expect the ACR to be a monster. We have seen with the "base" model what can be done with just a bit of tweeking on lesser tires. I don't think Ralph is a bs artist when talking about what he wants the new ACR to be. My prediction is it will eclipse the 7 minute mark. As to whether it can beat...
All light and sound operate on a frequency. Camera's record at a "slower" frequency than LED emits, causing the strobe effect. So the frequency is slowed on camera for the human eye and voila, blinky, blinky. But enough physics...
GO SRT.
Aside: we seem to have a couple of grumpy vette trolls...
I gotta say my heart was racing watching that video. Goosebumps and all. Really impressed with SRT and how they were able to dial the suspension in so quickly. Car looks great in orange too. Let's not forget that it was us here (the owners) that helped SRT push the car to a new level so...
I gotta say guys, that SRT hasn't impressed with their marketing approach as of late. It's been horrible in fact. I want the Viper to conquer as much or more than any of you. I have had multiple Vipers and I really want the Gen V to be my next one. It probably will be even with the soup sandwich...
You know, I was thinking the exact same thing. Whoever is doing their PR and Marketing needs to be fired and hire us instead. lol It might be a 'smarmy marketing gimmick' etc., but it adds to the experience that Ralph and SRT are trying to sell (and the other high end companies already do). You...
Coloviper you're just plain wrong. There was zero increase in power on the new Viper. Anyone who follows the car knows this. It was a marketing gimmick that failed miserably in many of our eyes.
Slitherv10 and chorps: good posts. agree with just about everything you guys said.
lol x2
That thing (Fiat 500) is a death trap and everyone knows it. Also, those sales numbers on the the Chrysler stuff are very encouraging. I have been really impressed with their much improved build quality in recent years.
Now to put the Viper back on top...
It was the worst of bets to make by SRT. We all can agree on that I think. What I'm curious about is "Why?". What was their reasoning for doing so? I don't agree with the 'any publicity is good publicity' statement.
Also, let me play devil's advocate again for a second and say, no one...
People have made some good points here (grammar aside). I completely agree with SRT needing to shut their mouthpiece and fix the car. Also, I agree with Mtgts. Pirelli looks like **** right now in my eyes, putting out an inferior more expensive tire. Never have been a fan of Pirellis and this...
What really happened was someone from GM sneaked into SRT HQ during the design phase of the new Viper and took pictures of all the schematics. Yeah.. that's probably, exactly what happened.
