As Bill P said, with ThanksGiving just behind us and Christmas (shortened work weeks) just ahead the probability of dealers getting cars before next year is slim.
Ralph described the GTS as a wine country cruiser or a track car, a Jekle/ Hyde if you will. I've found the four point harness to work best at the track.
The leather in the GTS mule cars was paper thin and was not the quality I had anticipated based on the reveal pictures and the hype. Before I went into business for myself a former boss of mine once said " many of life's disappointments have to do with unrealized expectations." My expectations...
The red/black on paper seems very attractive, but the quality of the napa leather appears to be on the cheap side. This was evidenced in the mule car I spent time with.
Although I like the black laguna interior, the sepia has such a beautiful rich look to it and I think it's the orange/saddle like hue that makes it. The other tan interiors I've seen (ferrari, bmw, porsche) have too much yellow for my taste. I do like the black laguna but there's just a bit too...
We share the same feelings on this. I don't much care for the stripes that offer a huge contrast to the color of the car; i.e.: red with black stripes, yellow/black etc...Especially the GTS stripes, although I think it works with the SRT stripes. I guess it has to do with the GTS stripes...
Thanks, the reason why I ask is because in V10enomous' "another you tube video" thread http://forums.viperclub.org/threads/659089-Another-New-Gen-V-Youtube the gunmetal looks a lot darker: basically one shade lighter than black. This is also the case in the recent Viper 2013 catalog. I guess it...
I spent about 20 minutes as a passenger in one of the mule cars, with Dick behind the wheel. He truly is a 1st class guy all the way. When I was finished with my questions he spent the remainder of our time together filling in the blanks.
While there's no doubt that he praises the car for its immense track capabilities, he makes it sound like it's one dimensional: a car not fit for every day driving. Ah the press....I've got a few problems with them and their ability to report anything without it being filtered though an agenda...
Kind of disappointed that the seats were described as uncomfortable. As a passenger in one of the mule cars I too noticed that the seats were lacking in padding and not very comfortable. I had assumed it was a pre production characteristic.
The 2nd video offers some nice shots of the car. 0-60 on a wet surface of 5.01 w/o launch control. HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Why bother, so he can say he was the 1st. We are going to see 0-60 of 3 to 3.2. :)
