    no boost, guess I should just leave it alone. Wasnt sure if I removed the hose and put a filter on if it would make any difference.

    I have a puke can on my 2001 GTS, but noticed that some cars have a filter right on the IAC at the valve cover, while I still have the hose that goes to the factory airbox. Any advantage of removing the hose and getting a small filter to put right on the IAC? marty

    Torque was nearly 800 at the wheels after the upgrade, it was a fun car for sure.

    My old car(Gen 1) was stock except for Roe 10# and made 525rwhp. Added PBJ Heads/Cam, water meth and went to 645rwhp, all with the stock Gen 1 exhaust manifolds. Added 1 3/4 TNT headers and jumped to about 675rwhp. In a nutshell, I saw about 120HP increase at the wheels with heads/cam. marty

    I have stock 01 headers, no cats, and Belanger 3" exhaust, sounds great. Its loud, and the drone is annoying on the highway, but I just turn up the stereo:)

    708 cam

    Won't the 708 also work fine with the factory PCM? I would guess that a custom grind would also require a VEC/SCT to properly tune the car. I have thought about the same mod on my 01 GTS. martyb

    New Headers

    If any header gives a 40hp increase on a 2000-2002, I would be shocked. Maybe the entire exhaust would be worth it, but I have a hard time believing headers only will give 40hp. Please let us know the results.

    I place the jack stands on the frame behind the front wheels, just outside of the inner fender.
