Sorry I never meant to answer yes to that one. I just care about getting my car repaired properly - not get into a pissing match. Sorry if I offended anyone - even you kverges.
Mike,
The answer to ALL of the questions, except the certified letter, is yes. I am not sure what the certified letter would do for me. Also, I have asked for a new motor - NOT a new car.
Kverges, you are not worth my time. You are the reason for abortion. ;)
Y2K3SRT, we have not been offered a new motor like you were. Many of us don't care about the gift cert., the rental or the promise of a quick fix - I have had my car since March and it has yet to be repaired - real quick fix. In fact if you have been following this, like you say, you would have...
Viperzilla, what do you mean screw up the 04 holders?? There is no certificate program for the 2004 cars. I guess if you sunk the cash into one of these cars you might understand, but in your case it's easy to sit on the sidelines and spout off. :smirk:
I don't think we are whining about it, we just want a fair deal. Obviously you are the type that bends over for DC, that's your choice. The rest of us know that we have been ripped off and no matter what we say to DC it falls on deaf ears - time to shop elsewhere.
I don't think the majority of those of us with the SRT's in question expect a new car - we never did! But I asked for a new motor and was basically laughed at by DC. Why should I have to have my brand new engine opened up for repairs? The resale price of the "valve job" SRT's is going to be...
Well Mike, I was the one who put the money out for a new SRT so I fail to see why DC is the one (in your opinion) in the "crappy" situation. They have only made us one offer and to many of us it is not what we wanted. Many of us just want our cars repaired by a QUALIFIED Viper tech and not by...
I would assume it is that the SRT driver is not experienced. Also the edge is clearly given to the GTS since he is the one sounding the horn to start the race...
Well DC?? We know you are reading this but are you listening? Hell, I only asked for a new motor in my SRT and that was denied - but now you give Mercedes owners new friking cars? This is a huge pile of dung...maybe it's time to shop elsewhere.
I am still waiting for parts so that I can have my valves replaced. From what I read on this site many valve repairs have already taken place. Does anyone know if there is a wait list or something for parts? Are others still waiting or are parts available right now in the US?
How about replacing the "hoops" with a roll bar that actually functions as one? What is the purpose of the hoops? Some sort of decoration? I thought for the price I paid for my SRT that it should have had a functional roll bar - and floor mats, and a trunk liner...
Re: Question about buying an \'03 Viper Please!
Frank, I think you are correct with your calculations. I know of a member in Ontario that has not taken delivery of 2 SRT's and also think that many are still just arriving in California.
2003torchred - I have a semi-cup holder, problem is at high...
Re: Question about buying an \'03 Viper Please!
Some are still Viper-less obviously because they have not taken delivery yet. Great cars takes time to build, unlike vettes! ;)
Re: Question about buying an \'03 Viper Please!
Some certificate holders don't even have their 2003 cars yet, so what makes people think the 2004's are out already?
what I find strange is that dealers have srt's in their show rooms for sale while certificate holders are still waiting for their cars. That is a crock of ****...
So bottom line is that replacing the valves did not give you the performance that you paid for? This is my concern so I asked DC if they would dyno the car after the valve replacement and if it is not up to specifications what would they do? I was told that they are confident that the...
