GTSR no vin # not streetable = pure purpose built race car. The chassis has a race chassis number. Believe there is a guy in Italy who owns about 20% of all built.
GT2 commemorative street car has a vin with a numbered plaque. 100 built.
Although a Viper is a stout car and 8k miles is not a lot of miles, I would believe that an average Viper gets driven between 2k and 2.5k miles per year. When you are shopping for a used Viper most folks are looking for a Viper with "Viper miles" on it and not one that has the miles of your...
I've driven a few '08s and a couple '09s. The '09s had better throttle response than the '08s IMO. Maybe variations from car to car? Neither as good as the 2 '02s Ive owned. I also remember SRT techs representing that cnanges in the programming on the '09s allowed for better throttle response...
Prefix striped and installed the aero kit on the one in the classifieds. They could tell you how to uninstall the aero kit. The roll bar was installed with the understanding it should be easy to remove.
Thanks for the compliment. She is a gorgeous car. The bar is made by rpm rollbar out here in Oregon. It is available through a currently banned from this site vendor. I believe rpm rollbar is @ www.rpmrollbar.com. It has foldout/removable door bars and is SCCA and NHRA certified.
PM to you with...
I have always been very impressed how well Vpers take the abuse I've seen given to them. If you have ever attended a VOI when factory cars are available to be driven you would see what I mean.
I have the APR cf splitter. I don't know but it appears that having installed this cf stuff (wing, splitter and canards) it seriously has devalued my car!
A few hrs after I rejected the $65k offer from the guy with a $67.5k counter, I texted him that I would take the $65k if he was still interested. He wasn't.
See my post: http://forums.viperclub.org/threads/655017-209-Full-Service-Oil-Change-at-the-Dealer.
In addition at the same dealer a teenage lot girl jumped into my '05 SRT 10 Ram to move it when my back was turned while I was talking to the same service manager. I heard a loud screech with...
True story: Took 2 5 qt jugs, 1 qt jug and an oil filter to my local dodge store (the 1 I bought my 1st Viper from) to change the oil in my '2 ACR. They assured me only their Viper tech would touch the car. As I was leaving after it was done I heard a thud in the back. Stopped to check and found...
The parts were shipped to Prefix for installation. Prefix prepped, painted and installed them. The splitter has an AR Racing decal on it but I don't know if they made the wing and canards.
I just reread the ad. Of course it's not confusing to me. I didn't know I should have put "Not an ACR" or "CF wing, CF splitter and CF canards are not ACR" disclaimers as I thought they were apparent.
Perhaps others just don't like the mods I did to the car. I do wish to convey they are quality...
