Re: Things I have noticed - \'05 SRT vs \'03 SRT
I've got an 04 and have never had the heat problem. I've put 6,000 miles on it, some of it in hot weather.
Dirk
It's 12 degrees here today and you are talking about driving with the top down?
You suck.
;)
I have noticed that the cabin heat "problem" is certainly not a problem in the Indiana winter.

Surely you aren't trying to say that a college kid with enough spare time to post nearly 5,000 times is seeking attention? I thought his endless complaints, criticisms and personal attacks were simply a clue that he was a lot smarter than the rest of us. After all, he has said that he has...
If anyone thinks that putting ABS or traction control on the Viper makes it into a Honda Civic then you either haven't put your butt into a Honda Civic or haven't driven a Viper lately.
My 04 SRT-10 is very much more civilized than the 1st Viper to roll off the line. Hate to disagree with such...
SnakeEye is right on the money. We've got incredible performance right now.
I also expect DC to leapfrog the competition. With a relatively small number of cars produced, it takes a little longer to make and fund drastic changes in the program.
Comparing the current Viper model to yet to...

I have the same problem, only with the passenger window.
Sometimes it doesn't lower when the door opens and catches on the top when trying to close.
I'm always very cautious of this. When I notice it, I'll lower the window before closing the door.
I'm afraid that someone is going to get into...
14 degrees here in southern Indiana today. I drove my 04 to work and back. No crazy spinouts for me. It just takes a lot of respect. No doubt it could bite you if you aren't careful.

Re: how fast have you gotten your srt10\'s up to?
180 top up. Lots of power left. Still pulls pretty hard at that speed. Realized that I have a small son who wouldn't understand the whole closed casket thing, so I was done. That also is the last time I'll be at that speed on a public road...
Re: Am I missing something? No inside trunk release and hood cant be locked
Wait until you drop your key fob in the trunk when lifting some stuff out. You'll then get to say all of the words I said in looking for a way to unlock the trunk manually. It just ain't gonna happen. Thank god for a...
Lthl Vpr says that the reason the SRT's "aren't selling" are bla, blah, blah
Fact is that the SRT-10 has sold more quickly and in higher numbers than nearly any other year or model of Viper.
DC produced far more 03 and 04's than in other years and did so much more quickly. That has led to a...
I agree with you Alice. Good post.
We also need to note that we are in a pretty amazing time for performance
and power. There is no 1 car that can claim to be the King. There are several,
including the Viper.
In the early 90's there wasn't anything out there with big performance.
There...

Thanks for another insightful post Craig. I'm sure you put your usual amount of thought into that one.
4828 posts like that one have made the Viper community just that much better.
Thanks again.

I had to repair a front fender on my 04. I wondered about the cost that I was being quoted too.
The composite material inside the fender that glues to the body is, in fact, ridiculously expensive and hard to find. I think the part, when you can find one, is about $1600. However it isn't easy...
Never thought about the Armor-All. That is certainly possible.
There have been a number of motorcycle wrecks and deaths because of it. Check the warning label that was changed to warn not to use on bikes.
With the kind of torque we have and the way some people slather the stuff all over the...
It looks good in pics, but I'm sure it looks much better in person.
The lines of the SRT-10 are very sexy, but are not as pronounced as the GenI and II cars. You simply do not see the curves and lines in photos. I didn't really like the Gen III when I first saw a picture. Then I saw one in...
I drove my 04 in the Indiana sleet and snow last week. Driven carefully, I experienced no crazy, scary moments. I wouldn't choose to do that everyday, but I have driven a lot of miles in cold wet temps also. Not a single problem.
Given the tremendous torque, you have to lay the respect and...
Incredible car. No problems whatsoever. I like the seats, but think they could be uncomfortable for someone who is ....umm...wider than I am.
I use mine as a near-every day driver. Not a single complaint.
Dirk
Turbo63 don't be scared at all.
With the torque and power available the car can do
silly things if you drive without sense or respect.
But, if you respect it and drive like you've passed
a driving test then there aren't any of these problems.
I drive mine everyday. I bought it for a weekend...
Finally a rational question. Bob898, a non-owner can certainly have an opinion about a car's looks. Just don't try to say that because it is your opinion then it must be the opinion of everyone or that it is a FACT.
Not once have I bristled when someone stated that they personally did not...
Craig:
Reading your little troll posts and personal insults make it real clear that while you may have forgotten a lot, there probably are very, very, few subjects that you know more about than ANYONE. You may think you are so knowledgeable about my car, but I seriously doubt it.
