    Thanks Jay, still haven't solved it but I did check the headlight knob too. All suggestions point to the door latch at this point. Get the car back from the shop tomorrow so I'll see if that is it.

    Thanks for the advice, I'll try the WD-40. I did try turning the light off. It stays on in both positions. I unplugged it by the mirror for now but hopefully can loosen the contacts with the spray.

    Doesn't sound too good but just FYI, some of the things you mention you'll find on a lot of Vipers. Check out AspViper's one in the classified, I saw it last week and it is very nice.     If done right, you won't see your calibrator. It is behind the instrument panel up under the dash. It's a little black box (at least in mine) that is about half the size of a computer mouse (closest thing that I could compare it too!).
