car transporters
I'll beat Plum and say search. There's plenty of info and one very recent thread on the subject. I used Passport and was very satisfied. They are considered the "official transporter" of VOI or something like that now. You'll read a lot about Gary Almond but from what I understood he's not...- ba$$fan

OK... So I need to know how bad are viper really.
Look at where a lot of people are from here...Houston, Miami, Orlando, DFW, Austin, San Anton, Pheonix...they are all driving their cars and you can't tell me its hotter in DC. :omg:- ba$$fan

Word of warning - GTS FE on that auction site now
He was advertising it on Craigslist first back when I looked at it. DarcShadow clued me into it quickly after it was posted and I left work early and saw it the same day. He was asking $36k on CL then raised it to $38k. A price I think he could pretty easily get with that mileage in a clean...- ba$$fan

Word of warning - GTS FE on that auction site now
Just looking to inform anyone who may have seen this car (#215 of 360) on that auction site that its not what he says it is. I looked at it back in December-January time frame. Its not nearly as clean as he says and he basically told me no when I asked about getting it up on a lift somewhere...- ba$$fan

Window tint in Dallas area
I've done some online searching for the same thing recently and besides Moonshadow, there seems to be a lot of good reviews for Tri-tek in Garland. On the Fort Worth side it seems Artech and Alta Mere get the most praise.- ba$$fan

Show us your garage!
All these garage pics are inspiring me to do something a little more with mine. I have a fairly small house (for TX) house but my double garage is big, about 24x20 so it fits the truck and car nicely with lots of room to spare. I'd like to hear some opinions on colors. The wire they are probably talking about is the speedo sensor connection. There is one wire that is the speedo sensor input into the PCM and there is one that is the output to the actual speedometer. Seems different versions of the old Unitrax box had different instructions saying use on or...- ba$$fan

When I got my 2000 GTS, I was unaware that the car had 3.73 gears. I didn't see the car before purchasing and went on the PPI of a recommended viper tech. Tire opinion
I have nothing to compare as I just got the car but it had new rears so I got matching bfg fronts and they do just fine. If u don't want to pay for the ps2's, go for it. Give jonB at parts rack a call and get them from him. Best price and they were on my doorstep two days later.- ba$$fan

A little vette love...
Took the snake out to get sushi last night with the woman and pulled up next to a vette at a light. He looks over and says "Here I was feeling all cool in my convertible corvette...and you come along and ruin it. That's a beautiful car man". I thought that was pretty neat. :drive:- ba$$fan

It was supposed to be all stock...down to the original corrugated intake tubes. However, I now know that its got 3.73's. I wish! It was 7:45 in the morning and I had to guard it from all the soccer moms and their kids on their way to school. It was pretty funny all the attention it got for the twenty minutes it was off the trailer. I did meet a rather cute neighbor anyways.- ba$$fan
