    Couple of Maintenance questions on 97 GTS

    My 97 GTS was probably the easiest brake job I've ever done. Do it yourself and save some $$. Took me about 1 hour for all 4 pads, and that was only because it was my first time doing it. When the pads come out, the rotors can just slide out as well :) What pads did you go with?

    Please help with air conditioning

    I'm in AZ, and my A/C in my 97 GTS was just recharged before I bought the car. Car gets so cold that my wife wants to keep a blanket in the car haha. I still have full stock exhaust btw. Sounds like yours needs a recharge.

    What temperature is good?

    They usually run between 190 to 220. Anything past 220 is usually not good.

    I'm picking up a showroom B/W 97 this weekend, and my first mod will be cat/resonator delete, and replaced with a straight pipe. Will keep the stock mufflers :)

    Convince Me! Gen I vs Gen II

    Gen 2 is refined in pretty much every way. It is faster, handles better, rides smoother, comfier, etc. I mean who wants to clip in windows every time they park the car? I also personally hate Gen 1 interiors with a passion.

    How long do you think the whole project took you? What brand high temp sealant did you use? I will be tackling this within the first month of owning the GTS for sure :) Also, how hard is it to remove the factory side sills?
