There are little plastic deflectors than hang down right in front of the tires, I scrape those at least once a week. But luckily no issues with the actual bumper or with speed bumps yet.
I read the title and instantly thought "oh this poor guy tried teaching his wife how to drive a stick in his Viper". I opened the thread and here we are! Lol
The battery is in the trunk under a cover you can lift up. You should look under there just to familiarize yourself with where the emergency gas fill tube is located if you ever have to use it. I haven't looked under there since the day I drove it home, but I'm thinking that if the battery...
As I was staring down the largest sales tax figure I've ever paid during the signing I kept reminding myself that a decent portion of it was going to offset whatever I owe next April 15. Now if I can just find a way to write off even more through my wife's law firm I'll be even happier. Lol
This is disappointing. What's the real cost to SRT to have a factory delivery? If countless other manufacturers are able to do factory deliveries it should be an option for the Viper. Charge for it, who cares! They're already charging people who order a GTS who want the SRT hood, what's a...
What are others seeing their IAT at compared to ambient temps? I have my DIC setup to show IAT in the center and its interesting how stop and go traffic affects it compared to an open road. On the highway I'm seeing IATs 20-25 degrees more than ambient. That's a little higher than I expected...
I've noticed that when the low fuel light comes on it's not like a normal car where you can take your time and find a station in the next 40 miles. When it comes on in the Viper it means you better make an immediate detour to the closest station or else you're in big trouble.
Setting the cruise at 75 got me right around 20 mpg on a 150 mile drive last week. But yeah, spirited driving around town you can watch the gas gauge drop almost as fast as your mph climbs.
AGREED. When you can buy two 345 sized Michelin Pilot Sport Cup tires for the price of one 355 Corsa tire you have to question Pirelli's pricing strategy. Aside from retaining bragging rights to 'The Widest Tire in the World!!!' I cannot see myself going with the OEM replacement when the time...
Second gear is SUPER short when you're running to redline in each gear. 1st gear runs out at 63 and 2nd runs out at 90, so the window that you're in 2nd gear is small.
It must be how people get out because in 1600 miles the sill has only felt hot to me once. Every other time it at most feels warm. My 6.5 year old gets himself in and out of the vehicle without my help and he's never once complained about it being hot. And if there's one thing a 6 year old...
Jack I'm interested to here more about the one you saw that got 527 since that's within 2 of what mine did.
Ralph made almost 50 hp/40 tq than mine. That's more than can be explained by extra break in miles.
It's been reported on this site that it's only $3k, I wasn't just making that up. The old Gen 1 and 2 yes were worth a small Volvo, but the new ones are cheap by comparison.
Note for the ordering frenzy when the CF parts become available; There's going to need to be 2 different part numbers for the tail panel, one with a hole for the backup camera and one without. I asked about the backup camera in a different thread and noticed last week on mine, that does not...
Has anyone tried the LUXE style Lloyd mats? I don't want to feel like my feet are on shag carpet, but something thicker would probably help cut a little interior noise. What I'll probably do is order the Ultimat style for the front and the LUXE for the trunk mat.
Thanks for the thread, I'm glad to hear how well the Corsas are holding up for you. I've had mine for 2 months now and am averaging 800 miles a month, so by seasons end I will probably have 4000-5000 miles on it. With the great wear you're seeing that means I should be able to use these all...
Agreed, at $2k I'll put the spoiler on my Christmas list. But at $8k I'll put it on my "I'd rather take another vacation this year, so no frighten way ever" list. There should be plenty of profit it the piece at $2k. Hell doesn't the entire hood cost $3k?
My car had the "extra inspection" sticker on it from the factory and had 16 miles on it when I got it, those miles were not put on by the dealership. I haven't noticed any alignment issues at all so if something was off they must have fixed it in those 16 miles. But I appreciate the heads up...
Just think, this new Corsa system should be cheaper than previous versions, because they don't need to put their fancy tips with raised CORSA name on them!
Ha, wishful thinking :)
