Why won't SRT tell us the status of the vert?

But that's their point: stop waiting for something to exist and get something today that makes you happy!

    Ralph in Automobile magazine

the big reason the Viper loses out in 0-60 comparos: Weight distribution. It's a lot easier to get the power to the ground when you have 60% of your vehicle mass pressing on the rears BEFORE acceleration starts. And let's not start on the AWD competition...

Why won't SRT tell us the status of the vert?

Because future product knowledge decreases demand for CURRENT product. and you cant sell products in the future unless you've sold what you already have.

TA selling well, soon to be selling out...and it's no surprise why

Well the ACR had quite a bit more aero, which means corners can be taken at higher speeds, and you have the added drag to help slow you down as well.

TA selling well, soon to be selling out...and it's no surprise why

Just to clarify, the GT package has nothing to do with the prototype aero parts displayed on the Stryker Green show car.

TA selling well, soon to be selling out...and it's no surprise why

Too many options can in fact be a bad idea for sales. Sometimes consumers don't want to make decisions beyond a few options; other times the availability of expensive options makes them desire a car they can't afford as configured. This problem is compounded even further when the dealer network...

Stryker Green Debuts on 2014 SRT Viper at North American International Auto Show

Stryker Green Debuts on 2014 SRT Viper at North American International Auto Show

Stryker Red has 1 coat of a yellowish orange, 3 (or 4) coats of red, and then a clear coat iirc. Stryker Green is just 3 coats of paint.

Hellcat twin turbo Hemi V8 showing up in the Viper soon?

umm... the hellcat isn't a twin-turbo V8. It's supercharged. And not unless they redesigned the Viper to fit it.

    track fever

The TA model was meant to bridge the gap between the base model and the ACR(or whatever it shall be called). The new ACR will supposedly be "radical" according to Ralph Gilles. iirc, 1500lbs of downforce at 150 mph. It will have crazy aero, adjustable suspension, new gumball tires, a different...

Boy. Some some people are so fickle.

I wonder if the hellcat's pistons could be used for FI purposes in the Viper. Doesn't the current car share pistons with the 6.4?
