you don't know how much time he had either. the only thing we know for sure is that he had a few more laps in the zr1. like I said the seat time excuses not going to fly when the Viper is losing every test on the road course. Seat time is not the issue.- bluestreak

At the pro level, that is not the case. Pro's hop in cars all the time and get up to within a second of top qualifying times within a few laps. And that's on cars with lots of different settings. Go buy a GT-R or used PDK Turbo. You don't make AWD (not 4WD) an option on a niche low volume performance car. Do you have any idea what you are talking about? Doesn't make any sense for people (not meaning you of course) to accuse the ZR1 of being a ringer and turn a blind eye to this Gen IV under the same conditions (91 octane) making 581 hp. I for one think it's more likely that Edmunds adjusted for crank hp and the 91 robbed the Gen IV of 19 hp...- bluestreak

LOL... Now, lets hope the engineers read this. MICHELIN PILOT SPORT CUPS!!!!! Then we can watch the Gen V redeem itself on the road course. Automatic Viper?
I think it would be something more special. Or hope anyways. Hard to make a traditional automatic relevant in a world of dual clutches. The viper is world class, shouldnt share transmission with the cars mentioned in that article.- bluestreak

I don't think anyone would argue that Ferrari is Fiat's primary when it comes to racing. I bet SRT is running in spite of, not because of fiat support.
