Vipers are not that fast stock. I tried to leave mine stock but after 3 weeks I went over to the darkside and called the speed demon Doug Levin.
Chuck 24,000 miles & all I change are tires, oil and plugs.
The 3.33 is the perfect gear for the Viper. It is also the only gear DLM will recommend using. I have tried it on a Paxton 650 rwhp set-up and then upgraded to 850 rwhp. The gear was to much for the additional power. I had to switch back to the 3.07 then. I have another friend who switched from...
I ran a 10.40 & followed it by a 10.43. Both are on video and here is a pic of me running Kelly Martin. He has a Twin Turbo RSI. That day I ran 3 TT's and beat them all. My only loss came to that son of a gun 1Tony1. He was awesome that day. My runs were done on Pirelli street tires and pump...
I have been using these plugs for over 15,000 miles now. Of course I still change them every 3,000 miles but Doug told me to these were the plugs for me. NGK BKR7E-11
My Paxton has heads and a cam so Dougs answer for me might not work for you but has been foolproof so far.
No driveability...
Neil it was a pleasure meeting you this weekend at Sebring. We are shooting for May 11th for another Viper/SRT club gathering. I will keep you in the loop.
I can already see the changes that are happening are positive. Let me tip my hat to all of those who have changed the direction and attitude of this board.
Belangers and Burns mufflers minus the 4 cats is a great combo. The Burns mufflers are pricey but worth every penny. 2 top tuners use them Levin and Heffner.
I guess this new site does not allow for the and abbreviation like this & because it keeps inserting the word Amp next to my abbrev. Let me try again. So far we are up to 8 people who are coming. Drop the keyboard and hit the road next weekend for a nice gathering.
There are so many new people moving into the area & others who have just bought Vipers. Recently Bobby moved down here and we were talking about a Viper get together. Next Friday @ Old Towne in Kissimmee would be a good time & place. They normally draw about 150 cars for there Fri cruise...
Cobra, I am running 15lbs of boost in the street with 93 octane. Like Phil said I have the Stryker heads, Comp coupe Cam and forged bottom end. After there is a list of things Doug from DLM installed. I even went with a quaiffe and Unitrak 1000hp shafts for peace of mind. This combination with...
The Paxton and a stock motor are a great combo. Add more power and you have a recipe for disaster. I believe 650 rwhp is more then enough for the cast pistons to handle. Try the Paxton and you might just have enough power Matrix to satisfy your need for speed.
Listen to Tony. I have been to the track with him and he knows how to extract power from a Viper and then drive back home without his car missing a beat.
The small unit is good for only one run before it gets hot. The solution by DLM is this.
Doug built a rear intercooler and pump so I can continuosly boost. This system was built and designed by Doug Levin. I went to the Bradenton event this December and ran a 10.40 and 5 minutes later ran a...
