I think you meant to type 38k not 27.5. You're not picking up a clean low mileage GTS for under 30. I know corvettes don't go over too well here but to all the guys saying vipers don't hold their value too well, they've faired better than comparably priced c5 z06s.
I expect no miracles out of my gen 2. As long as it's price holds steady as i continue to add miles to it (about 7k a year) I'll be happy. If they really are appreciating then it should. I know in the short term this isn't happening but if in 10 years worth what I paid for it last year with 50k+...
OP why did you change the radiator?
Is the new one you have bigger than OEM?
Does that mean it makes the engine run cooler and thus more horsepower?
Why aren't other guys doing this mod and where can I get one?
Well this certainly is unwelcome news. I was thinking of giving them some business at 12k (leaving room for more work) but now that they've raised the price 50% I'm not so sure.
All this talk about high build costs, what about the RSI street kit? I know it's for gen 2s and I assume it's for gen 1s too. I thought it was 12k installed. I'm sure once you dig into your motor you find some more stuff that should be done but is it really another 10k worth?
Since you asked what we think about your price, you're 10k too high IMO. Clean vipers are easy to find, so there's not much benefit to having a sub 5k mile car like yours over a clean 15k mile car that everyone on here has.
I like it, but i think it's hard to overdo anything on a viper, the whole car was overly aggressive from the factory. For my statement to make sense you have to forget about the first few cars posted in this thread.
I've looked through your old threads for more pics but if you're got any...
I'm pretty sure we met at a cars and coffee a few months ago, you have a solid red gts right? We talked not even a minute and then you and bs99 went up to the baltimore grand prix if I remember correctly.
An easy install the 2' seat lowering kit is not. Thing is a complete PITA. Having said that I'm 6'5 220lbs and I fit just fine with a 2" lowering kit. Car was very tight on headroom before that. To be brutally honest, everything is going to be tight for you at 270lbs. Gonna need to shed some lbs...
Thanks, I can't take any credit for setting the car up though, I bought it with the mods already done. No rub though. the car was lowered on eibach springs and caps, I drove it like that for a few hundred miles then removed the caps because it was just to low to enjoy. Looked great though...
