    drive without sill covers?

Jim, have you had the covers off yet? Maybe just leave 2 screws in the top, 2 in the bottom each side and take them off when you get there, as suggested. Just a thought. But if you've got a trailer why not use that. I shudder when I think about all that salt dust on our roads!

? for Luke about PS2's vs. PS.

To revive an old thread... Luke, Here's the deal, I need new rears, but the fronts are fine with about 8/32ths on them, no checking and even wear, and date coded 2505. The 335/35/17s are out of production (though still showing as avail. on the Tirerack website). Should I get PS1s for the rear...

    Opinions on repair pic

The circled area is what you're talking about, right? Looks like it's been "wacked". Did you have some frame repairs done? The paint on the area looks different. I'd ask the shop what happened. Did it fall off of the lift?

Pilot Sport Cup are now listed on Michelin's Website

While we're on the topic, a question for JohnB, are the PS1s avail. in 335/35/17 any longer, do you have some, how much? Thanks. (Appologies for the high-jack.)

not alot of posts in this section

I'm here. Though I'll admit I haven't checked this area as often as I should. Those who post here represent a small portion of the owners in W.Can., perhaps 10%. (of that 10% who post, a higher percentage are members. There are a few non-members who post on the forums with some regularity) Maybe...

Best place for OEM nickle and dime trim?

I didn't mean to sound like a jackaxe, and I hate to say I told you so...$400 is not nickle or dime.:( The sill screws may be missing for a reason, make sure when replacing them that the holes are not striped out, they are only sheet metal screws after all, and they'll only "take" a couple of...

    Tire Question

Checked with a local Michelin tire shop a couple of months ago, he said that they were in stock in the regional wharehouse, as well. I didn't bother to ask if they were still in production, though.

    IM NEW!!

Where I am, prices are at thier absolute lowest at this time of year. Conv., Coupe, w.h.y. I did my due dilligence, as well. Perhaps a local phenomenon, perhaps and economy factor (boom here for the last decade) but certainly before I bought, (and before my brother bought) and since, the prices...

Best place for OEM nickle and dime trim?

Nickle and dime.:rolaugh: Either you haven't been around these boards very long or your pockets are very deep. There is nothing nickle and dime about these cars. You should probably mention year/model of your car, you may find you'll get a better response. Part numbers will help harvest more...

    Tire Question

Quite sure that they are avail. 335/35/17 shows in stock at Tire Rack, but I would recomend that if you are replacing them to contact JohnB at Parts Rack. Lots of tread, and they aren't that old, I say keep 'em.

More powerful Viper? No, NOT the 2008!

It was, I think, Shelby who said: "Horsepower sells cars, torque wins races." And like stereo, it's not how many watts, but how much dB the system makes. In other words, it matters not how much power you have if you can't lay it down efficiently.

    IM NEW!!

Welcome! Words of advice: 1) Don't buy the cheapest one you can find, buy the nicest one you can possibly afford, even better if it's from a VCA member. 2) Now is the time to buy, prices are allways up in the dry months. Good luck with your search.

Fixed my warped fascia opening. PICS

"I am going to let the paint cure a little, then put Sneaky Pete back on." I'd consider leaving it off. You've got the cleanest look Viper of all, IMO, no hood gills, no side exit exh. Leaving the emblem off would make it that much cleaner, and easier to wax. Side note: Do you still have...

    Sold Corvette. . . Bought a Viper!!

Welcome aboard! You're going to enjoy the ownership experience and the help you get on these boards. That so-called dealer had an ebay auction a few weeks ago for an '08 Snakeskin green coupe. I had reported him for advertising something he didn't own and ebay yanked the listing. Then I got a...

    need help with license plate.

I'm with Juli on this one. 1KHP is pretty good, really. If you're stuck on white try WYTEVNM or WYTVNM or WYT VNM? Though I am not partial to stating the obvious. Nothing worse, IMO, than something like "69 BEE" on a 1969 SuperBee, or "RED GTS" etc. I can see it's a freakin' red GTS!!!:rolleyes...

Wife won't let me get a Viper

I can't believe that this is even an issue. Bottom line is, Vipers are not for everyone. This is part of what makes them great. Ask yourself, honestly, if you are a "Viper guy". That's all you need to do. You have the means. Perhaps you're having trouble justifying it to yourself ? (hence you...
