I believe the driver had to spend a night in the hospital and passenger walked away with minor injuries. I think the driver may have suffered a concussion, but this is all from memory. The wreck happened in 2004, but I know they both lived.

The IMV guys told me it was a combination of 3 or so huge bumps in a row that upset the car and that the Viper was traveling faster than other cars did over that section of road. I think anytime high speeds are involved an intimate knowledge of the roads and vehicle prep are vital. The IMV guys...
That's correct, there was a combination of large bumps in the road and the car got airbourne and landed at wrong angle. The car was a 650r Hennessey Viper running at 140mph in some desert around Morocco as part of the Gumball rally. Apparently these were very large bumps in the road from the...
In the Viper article they give ride height specs for smooth track settings - front: 102mm, rear - 136mm
I decided to go with the SRT recommended rough track settings - front: 111mm, rear - 140mm
These setting provide a more livable street ride height.

I do not drive the car much on the street, but I thought the car followed the road ruts less after the alignment changes. Although that is hard to imagine adding toe out would help tracking??
I am more comfortable saying that there was a dramatic improvement in on track turn in, overall grip...
I used the Summer 2008 VCA Viper magazine article for setup on my ACR. I lowered car to rough track settings. Then dialed in more front camber (-2.2 degrees) and set the front toe to 1/8" total toe out. I also adjusted the shocks to the recommed track settings(front = 6,6)(rear = 5,5). Before...
Porsche cars start to get interesting over 100K new (i.e. GT3, GT2, Turbo). One of my issues with the under 100K Porsche cars is acceleration, mid 13 sec quarter mile power with 106 mph traps doesn't cut it for my $80K. I would consider comparing a used Porsche Turbo or GT3 to a Viper. With that...
Yeah I could see that point as well, 08 ACR will always be the car that set the record, I think color matters as well, so pick the color you like and that will decide what year model you get.

I think the small variance between cars may be almost as significant as the year model differences. I have an 09 ACR and have two friends that have 08 ACR's, but there are too many variables to say if one year model is faster on track than the other. I would say a used 08 that is already broken...
I think opening up the ranges on some of the sensors so check engine lights are avoided with mods is also part of the program. As well for the track guys I hear the throttle response is improved. I notice in my 09 that after you lift throttle the computer holds the rpms up for emissions burn...
So the Moton Motorsports would wear quickly with street driving; whereas, the Clubsport are considered more durable for street use and still work great on the track? I only expect to put 2 thousand miles a year on the car, would you still expect the Motorsports to need regular rebuilding, ie...
My understanding is that the Clubsports are double adjustable and the Motorsports are triple adjustable. Are there any others difference, like quality of components, range of adjustment?

I am looking to purchase a set of coilovers for my 08 Coupe to set it up for the track. I also own an 09 ACR and I have been happy with the KW coilovers. I am considering the following options and wanted any feedback from experience:
I believe these are sorted in increasing price:
1. KW...
Thank you, this car continues to amaze me.

My 09 ACR is graphite and I love the color, you cannot go wrong with that color, here is a link to some picture of my car:

Personally I think the Graphite cars look much better outdoors in natural...
