Now there is a man with TASTE! She looks dealership fresh with all the detailing you did. There's nothing like the first few months of ownership. Enjoy it and be SAFE.
I don't track my car, but I do some canyon cruising and the turn-in response is so much more immediate with these bushings. I think you would love these considering how much track time your Viper sees.
I just had DC install their billet steering rack bushings to replace my worn out rubber ones - WOW - made a huge difference in turn-in response and feel. Great upgrade for the $$$.
If it were me, I would stay away. First of all, the owner has been less than honest with you about it having a "clean title". Second, even if you get a significant discount on the purchase price, you don't know how much you are going to have to spend to fix any issues that crop up. Third, there...
Sorry, I don't remember exactly where under the dash, this was almost 5 years ago. I think its somewhere near the middle of the dash close to the windshield. My GPS antenna had an adhesive back coating, that's still holding on.
I have an AVIC N-1 and was able to stick my GPS antenna under the dash. Out of sight, and still gets fine sat. connectivity. Got the idea from someone else on this board who had the same unit. I mounted the navi box under the drivers seat.
My voltmeter is reading 11.7 - 12.8 volts when cruising (I have a digital voltage gage). I think I remember it being over 13.5 volts before but I'm not sure. I'm just wondering if my alternator is going bad as I have a new battery. Is my voltage too low?
Looks like your '96 has the newer front bumper ('98 and up) that didnt have covers for the fog lights. Past accident maybe? Looks good though. Try to keep this one out of the cornfields ;)
You'll have to change your username now too.
The first 6 months of ownership are by far the most fun. Don't get me wrong, I still LOVE my car even after 4 years, but the first 6 months....heaven. Enjoy but be careful getting to know the car.
Don't feel too bad. You're not the first person to be lied to by a car dealer and definitely not the last. If you got a good car for a good price, but now need to buy tires, its not the end of the world. Get yourself some new rubber and enjoy your Viper.
Nice classic R/T. Looks great. Congrats and be careful getting to know the car. First Viper I ever drove was a 95 R/T. Fun, but a handful.
Re: Picture posting. What I do is upload them to my gallery on this website (gallery.viperclub.org) and copy and paste a link to the picture in my posts.
