Obscene offers???
KBB and even Black Book are no good for a small build car like a Viper I had an Indy Pace car and the Kbb was $25 K under the going rates...they have no way to factor in special stuff, they arrive at their numbers by averaging many, many vehicles of the same model, etc....each car is different..- past ohio

Jacking 2008 Viper ACR?
Don't raise the bridge, lower the river....make one ( 1 1/2 in higher) or two (gets you 3 inches) 12 in wide boards and about 10 feet long, drive up on the boards first, this makes it easier to get the jack under and where you want it..if you uses 2 boards nail then together so they don't come...- past ohio

Question about sales tax when trading Vipers
In Ohio you put on the back of the title what the car is being sold for....any playing with numbers can get you in a lot of trouble, never heard of any dealer doing a courtesy trade, unless he is your brother in law, I think he could lose his licenses and get fined for making sales ...- past ohio

tax question (buying v trading)
Agree with Raven, many states don't care if a used vs used car transaction, the only relief from sales tax is when used being traded in on a new vehicle, don't you see that the car dealers have strong lobbiests so that they get new car sales !!- past ohio

paint issues--please help
Not sure if I am reading all the posts above correctly?? But several mention "factory painting" I don't think any are painted at Conner, all paint is done by the panel suppliers , correct ?? Guns and the individual painter play a big part or are the panels painted by a robot at the panel...- past ohio

Viper delivery/ transport
Doesn't Uship post jobs at bulletin boards at truck stops with various payouts to move cars ? You maybe getting someone with very little if any insurance...PLUS getting damages repaired ??!!Just my $.02- past ohio

Paint from a painted curb has rubbed onto my front chin -- please help!
Many companies have a swirl/scratch removal such as Meguiars, Adama and/or Zaino....some are numbered "9" and use it to get swirls and small scratches out....good luck..- past ohio

Trailering a 2008 Viper?
Check with Ringgold , they may have a contact for hauling and if you don't have the proper equipment to tow, you are asking for serious problems and to my knowledge your car insurance may not cover the towed vehicle if an accident...my $.02- past ohio

The two Gen V for sale in Naples each have a $10K kicker....manager asked me if interested, I told them I never want to pay over sticker ...and he told me his "sob story" they had to pay $25K for a package from Dodge, etc....but isn't there about $10K in the markup on the sticker already ???- past ohio

I saw two cars for sale yesterday, they are the base one @ $109 and the GTS @ $ 136, and the dealer has a supplemental sticker wanting 600 for a pinstripe, rustproofing etc...PLUS $10,000. extra! puts the car over 149,900.....I guess dealers are independent business people and can charge...- past ohio

"SL". looking at the Prowler, could you move your lift about 2-3 feet further into the garage, then back the Prowler in, looks like the garage door would go up and over the hood of the car...till you get the door raise (if you still feel it is needed).....as to the comments as to bolting...- past ohio

Historic Tags? Benefits? Worth it?
I thought Ohio it was 25 years old to get Historical, they do have a collector type plate but it has to be renewed every year and also costs more per year because it is a special plate !! Also in Ohio they used to let you put on a plate from the year of the car's build, example, put on a 1993...- past ohio
