    You hit the Viper HOW???

LOL - ought to teach him how to drive on the street first, THEN the track! Next time you get a delivery from a UPS guy, ask him about the tapes they have to watch before they are allowed on the streets. I got my hands on one and its pretty decent - taught me a few tricks that no one bothered to...

    Heavy Clutch Pedal?

Funny - I learned stick mostly on my C5 when I got it. Picked it up quick. Now there's no going back to automatics for me!

    Lowest Mileage GTS's??

Re: Lowest Mileage GTS\'s?? I've got nothing against guys who buy and store these cars. We all appreciate our cars in different ways. For some, that means tracking the car. For others, ghetto-fying the car. And for these guys, they derive their enjoyment out of owning a pristine and perfect...

    Heavy Clutch Pedal?

Good replies. Thanks guys. Yes, I definitely need to test-drive one. I don't know anyone out here, though. And with the roads salted I doubt anyone would be willing to take their Snake out of hibernation for someone to test drive. I talked to a dealership briefly, but they want to sell me...

    Heavy Clutch Pedal?

I haven't had the chance to drive a GTS or RT/10 yet, and I may not be able to drive one before I buy..... which is something I am leery of. I would much prefer to drive one and get a feel for it before I test-drive whichever car I might buy - that way I can draw a comparison. But with the...

    Funny Problem on Mustang Forum

Holy crap, Corral never ceases to amaze me when I post there. I'm familar with having a few post whores and trolls on boards since I've spent a LOT of time on CamaroZ28.com over the past few years, but Corral knocks CZ28 and all other car sites I've seen on their ear. There are plenty of...

    Replacement Fascia / Grille

Well, I'm not buying yet. I would need to buy my Viper first I'm just shopping and educating myself on what is available for the car on the market. Thanks for the phone #, I'll reach out to them if I decide to go for a fascia like that. Until then, still waiting until Spring to go Viper...

    Replacement Fascia / Grille

Does anyone offer a replacement fascia for the Viper that has the spars cut out? The car looks fine as it is, but I saw a small picture of an RT/10 Carroll Shelby edition that had them cut out and would like to see some better pictures of this fascia somewhere.

    .....But will it take ABUSE?

I went through the archives and there are a lot of posts from other shoppers who ask how the Viper hold up mechanically over time. The answers are all very positive. But then I realized that a large # of owners haven't broken 20k yet. If I get a Viper, I intend to drive it a LOT. Certainly 5k...

    PERSONALIZED LICENSE PLATE

Well, in light of my recent problems with them..... FAWQ GM I think it'd speak volumes on a Viper.

    SHIFTING IN THE GTS!!!!!!!!!!!

TTT for ya Could be linkage? Coming from a C5 background, some folks have had to physically adjust their shifter itself. Or in my case I had to have the reverse gear and synchro gear replaced in the T56 when reverse became unusable.

    Sound Clips?

I went through the archives, but didn't find anything relating to this. Does anyone have a site with collected clips of different exhaust systems on Vipers? There must be 12+ different cat-back systems out there, but I don't feel like testing them all out at ~$1500 a pop. Even though I haven't...

    some cops plain suck...

Re: the purple heart on the plate. That DOES work - and God bless you for getting it in the 1st place! But I know a lot of guys who run Veteran plates who really aren't Veterans. If you were shot at, saw combat, a hot LZ, or experienced an RPG attack? Ok, that works - you put it on the line...

Brake failure results in totaled Viper

#1 - everyone walked away ok, thank God #2 - WHO is your insurance carrier? And how did you explain the wreck to them? I've seen a few street car (read - race cars that are registered cars for the street) wrecks at LRP and have never heard of an insurance company that will cover a car that...

    Headers...coat or wrap?

Well, Jet-Hot (at least the owner) originated here in Ct but there was a falling out between the two original fellows and now we have the more popularly known Jet-Hot and right up the road in Hartford we have Aircraft Coatings. Most of the locals go to Aircraft Coatings since it is right here. I...

    some cops plain suck...

Viperin Ct - wow, sounds like a low crime area down there. Word to the wise, if you're ever up this was make sure you drive like grandma or you'll get a ticket in Wallingford. Of course, we have an ******* chief who really DOES rate his officers based on # of tickets and revenue brought in for...

    Roe's SC - who's running one?

Re: Roe\'s SC - who\'s running one? Wow, can you tell I was falling asleep when I posted that? Poor diction! I had been reading a few comments on the blower while searching the archives and thought I would ask those who had them installed. I took (450hp x .85)x 1.3 to get the advertized rwhp...

    Roe's SC - who's running one?

Roe\'s SC - who\'s running one? Well if that doesn't look like an easy DIY blower, I don't know what it. Personally, I've always had a thing for the ATIs, especially the newer P-1sc and D-1sc kits. No oil exchance, big transmission, serious durability. I'm sure one will find its way onto my...

18 inch bf goodrich drag radials...

One point though...... I wonder how bad BFG is going to gouge us for those size tires. Are these just drag radial versions of the g-force? If that's the case, who needs/wants low profile drag tires?

April Fools? It makes sense though, and I signed the petition a few months back. With so many factory cars now coming with 18" rims it was a logical progression.

Still on the hunt! Differences between 97 to 99?

That was a good read about the hypereautectics and the T6 treatment. Coming from a Chevy background, I assumed that hypereutectic meant the same crappy pistons which they put in our LT1 engines. Those pistons used to let go on stock NA engines! It would make sense that a platform such as the...
