Re: Srt What R U Thinking Cmon 2009
Being a former Bumblebee owner myself (a 2001 ACR), I still can't believe they don't offer Yellow on the 2008/2009's. However that would have been a tough choice for me if they did (SSG or Yellow, hmmm.). :sombrero:
Apparently he's gotten very good over the years utilizing just the right pressure (I wasn't going to question it since I have no expertise in this field). I wasn't present for the entire install, however everything that I witnessed was very meticulous, and he's done dozens of Vipers/Ford GT's...
My installer used a razor down each side of each stripe and everything looks great. There are no noticeable spots. He used the same technique with several Ford GT's as well.

If it's any consolation (and I know it's not as severe of a problem as what you are experiencing), my TPMS light has been on since I bought the car (it's apparently a sensor issue and I haven't made it back to the dealer as of yet). There are always some bugs to be worked out with a new model...

Wow, if I was keeping my "H's", I would definitely go in this direction. I absolutely hate the stock finish (and all of the scratches that come with it).
Just to update everyone, my install was yesterday. Though I originally thought I was going to have the 3M installed, it turned out that he used the Ventureshield (manufactured by Avery) due to a bit more clarity with that film. According to the installer, both the 3M and Avery are right around...
I'm a bit confused by that as well, as everyone I have spoken with has said that the current 3M film is very good, and has very little orange peel. I had the 3M 3-4 years ago on a different vehicle and it did have a considerable amount of orange peel (still not bad though), but I'm told the...
Funny you ask, I just traded my 2006 FE Coupe for my current '08 -- I don't regret it at all. I'm usually a coupe kind of guy, but after giving it some serious thought, and coupled with the great weather around here, I gave in. Also, the body style has really grown on me over the years, after...
I'm having the complete kit above (including side sills and rear rockers) done this Friday by one of the best in the country, Alan Seligman (Invincaman.com - 3M Scotchgard, Invincashield, Paint Protection, Clear Bra.
$1,290.00 including the install - am I getting ripped?

After driving my '08 this weekend several times, I've noticed a "chatter" coming from the transmission (when in neutral). This is the best term I can think of to describe it, and it's quite audible. In fact, even my father (who isn't a car guy), who rode with me this weekend, noticed it. When I...
I only wish I were closer. :(
After all of the horrible dealership experiences I have had over the years, I'm sure I would be beyond spoiled with this level of professionalism and dedication.
I was going to say the same thing, try the stock shifter first and see how you like it, as it's exceedingly better than the last generation. The throws are a lot shorter and it's smoother. I added the MGW knob as well and I'm quite happy with it overall.
