If I'm not mistaken, Ralph said that Viper will be 2 different cars. If this is so, I'd predict that the "base" viper would be the cushy amenity-laiden model and the other would be the hardcore strippeddown track version. I'm guessing that most people that buy these cars to track buy the ACR...
Maybe the reason the ACR-X is there is to break the overall production record for the full course. That way we'll be able to compare the ACR to the Zr-1 and LFA and the ACR-X to the Apollo.
I don't see how 20 mm of extra width would do much at all to improve traction without also switching to a softer compound. Even with the extra width, your contact patch would be the same area with the same tire
pressure, albeit more rectangular. I guess you could possibly see an improvement in...
