    91 octane will suffice. No way ANY manufactor today will build a car that isn't 50 state leagal(not speaking in terms of emissions). Even though it's 11:1 the aluminum block and heads will dissipate heat enough to run 91.

    Plastic Pig? LOL My Stingray was 700lbs LIGHTER than my Hemi, not counting faster. Most people confuse the performance output of the "Street Hemi" (which came in MOPAR factory cars) vs the "Race Hemi" which were used for the track. Two totally different beast.

    Hp vs HP isn't the issue rather than HP vs weight. The Z06 weighs 250lbs less the the coupe. While the SRT makes 500tq+ it only has a 3.08 final drive whereas the Z06 has 475tq but a much lower 3.45 final drive ratio. So in other words the Z06 makes it's power at higher rpms, with the 3.42's...

    True, but 5lbs of boost is probably possible. Lower compression is only a set of heads away, but I'm sure most owners will opt for the Juice instead.

    If you have ANY doubts about the strength of the GM 427ci forget it. The Z06 engines will be hand built using the same long block as in the C5-R's that have won Lemans 4-5 times not counting Daytona and Rolex 24hr. If it can take the abuse of Lemans it can handle street use with 400hp less.
