Ack...sorry to hear about your loss but considering the type of accident it could have been alot worse. What car are you planning to get in the future?
Next time you talk to him, ask him about his CPE TT system and how to get one for yourself. :D
Viper TT systems... because everything else is just 2nd place. :drive:
Excellent work here and like myself great attention to detail in all area's. This thread rival's 98's VA " The official get my car on track" thread.
Few engine suggestions, a new set of hydro lifters never hurt as well as some quality harden push rods if not already installed.
Looking foward to...
Back to the origional point of the thread... there's deals tucked away all over the place. Last summer I spoke with a guy that had a silver 98 GTS with 10K miles and only wanted about 38-39K for it. Also you'll know when its right, as everything will work together on the deal from start to...
Yeah, lots of options out there for sure. I'd say like Disturbed said go with a CPE kit if you're really interested in a solid kit. Also PM Joseph Dell on here as he has the CPE monster kit making just under 1600 RWHP on his silver 99 RT. :drive:
Yes, because that list of light mods I described (to me at least) will just get you a bigger ticket faster. :lmao: If you want a ticket that cost as much as an aluminum fly wheel, go with a CPE TT set up like this . :D
Yes the stock Viper header/exhaust system is quite restrictive to say the least. A good quality hard piping K&N style intake and say a Belanger header/ 3in exhaust muffler delete system will cool the car right down, add some good HP/TQ and give it a better less raspy sound.
You have this covered wanted, just drive it like you did the RT or harder. :D I'm sure you'll hit some 10's in the 08 for sure. And easy mid 10's with the same mods done to the RT as with the 08. :drive:
Good news to here you're ok and nothing worse happened. Shame to see such a nice car wasted but the important thing is you survived because the cars are always replaceable. Best regards with your new SRT or whatever you might get in the future.
About a year ago I spoke with a guy (some type of former wrestler) that had a 98 silver with black interior GTS. It had only 10K miles and he said he'd take 39K for it because he wanted to get rid of it. Now if only I had the extra $$$ to get it at the time. :(
If it's a Viper and it's silver... then it's A OK on Phil's list. :D
Great pics, I'm sure you guys enjoyed the event and looks like you had a good time out there. Hey, sorry to hear about your wheels Chad, always bad news when you run into bad business which is ohh what? 90% of the aftermarket...
Sure there's lots of choices out there. It depends how much power you want to make and be aware that an agressive cam will drop your gas miliage some. If your worried about that sorta thing. :D JM makes a nice aftermarket head called the stryker with your choice of 2.040 to 2.150 intake valves...
For sure.... 48K for a GTSR yeah... oook  God forbid someone would fall for that, and also i've seen that car on e bay motors I think going for around 90 K and reserve not met. However if someone falls for it, those guys will have 48K to go run off to put headers, giant wings and 5...
Re: Motor Trend isn\'t very hot about the new Viper
Well first of all, NO cars max out their speedo's in Stock form. The only way you'd max out the 220 on the Viper's one is with a really good SC or TT set up :)
Depends how well his Roe blower was tuned, the Viper hung in there pretty good I think. If it was a forged car with a little higher boost and well tuned... that guy would be seeing the Vipers tail lights for sure
