After reading this post from Leonard from TX, I decided to go ahead and cut a hole in the driver side grill of the hood of my 95 R/T. Leonards suggestion seemed to make a lot of sense and since there was already a water drain hole in the grill, I figured that if Dodge wasn't worried about...
Yeh! trashed mine yesterday as well. It was warm, but hard to find any roads that were not good and wet. Came home and spent a couple hours cleaning and polishing....can't say I mind doing that though!
Marathon Station is on Pontic Trail and Commerce accross from the Chrysler Dealership...
You should use the battery jump posts under the hood on the drivers side to charge the battery. No need to access the battery directly. Many owners have recently posted threads about battery issues. Do a search on "charging" or "battery tender" for mor info. :usa:
Weather finally broke in Michigan yesterday. Took the RT out and visited my good friend at his Marathon service station yesterday in Walled Lake. Four of us guys standing around enjoying the weather shooting the $%*# when all of a sudden we hear a tire blow out and a Mercury Marquis comes...
Re: 4-wheel stoptechs will cure your problem
They around $75 for the pair from Zero Altitude, a couple different versions to select from. I selected the "V-10" version. They look great and are easy to install. Only concern would be if the wheel has adhesive lead balancing weights too close...
I have been a Mobil 1 consumer for years. Recently, I met an Amsoil rep that claimed that their product tested far superior to Mobil 1 (check out test results on amsoil.com). I e-mailed Mobil 1 and asked them to respond to the Amsoil claims that their product was superior. This was the...
I recently purchased the battery tender. I was not able to get a good ground using the spring clamp harness provided when connecting to the jump points under the hood. I removed one of the two bolts holding down the hood roller guide on the frame beneath the positive connection. I sanded the...
You need to check out "Windscreens" by FasRacks. I just purchased a set for my 95 RT/10 and they fit and look great. They are made of Lexan and fit into the existing side window slots and fasten with the same threaded screw bolt. They definitely cut down on the wind buffeting. Cost is $237...
I recently joined the Michigan chapter of the VCA. Just received my member ship cards last Saturday. The VCA website has provided valuable information on any topic regarding viper ownership, maintenance, etc. Advise and actual experience is readily available on this site from the...
I appreciate all the feedback and advise on correct transmission fluid for the 95 RT/10. It appears that it should be OK to run the AMSOIL 75w-90 gear oil in place of the Dextron IIE.
Received my red cockpit cover from Partsrack made by Team Tech. Product quality and fit is fantastic - looks great. Made of heavy water repellent nylon with UV protection. Comes in choice of colors to match your RT/10. This cover is much easier to install than the stock naugahide cover that...
I am a new member to VCA and have onwed a 95 RT/10 for the past year. The manual calls for Dextron IIE ATF. How is it that 75W-90 gear oil such as the Amsoil synthetic product is being used by other viper owners with success? It seems that the gear oil would much thicker and would not be...
