The good thing about Vipers in the winter!

I've got the Viper up on the four post lift, the Lions on the radio losing (weekly), I got frustrated at my project so I , put the wrenches down, lit a cigar, opened another beer and just cleaned the bottom for awhile. I figured out how to resolve my frusterating issue and I'll hit it again over...

Winter Storage procedures for the newbies (long)

I don't totally disagree with your position, but I worry more about tire grip in cold weather than keeping it clean. I've been told anything under 50 degrees you should be concerned. I'm over cautious cause I totaled my first Viper on old cold tires and I wasn't messing around.

I'm with you RT/10stew. I'm installing Random Cats and Corsa as we speak. A nice set of headers would finish the deal, I really wanted Bellangers but now is not the time $ wise.

Want to become a Viper Owner

Buy Maurice Liang's book "Viper Buyers Guide", very informative. I'm going to take acception to Twisters thoughts, Gen 1 and 2's never get mistaken for chevies. My Gen 2 RT10 was as refinded as they ever came, nothing like driving that car with the top off. Plenty fast for the street, not much I...

    Remove tires for the winter?

Sorry if this is a repete post. It's getting cold here in the north. My Viper is stored in my unheated attached garage. Should I pull the the rims off so I can store my PS 2's in the basment ? Will minimizing the temperature extremes help keep the rubber softer longer or am I waisting time (as...

    BRoken exhaust bolt

I broke one of those shoulder bolts that supports the exhaust isolators on my ’02 RT10. I hope I get lucky and am able to extract it. My question is that a highly taxed Viper only bolt or is that a fairly common bolt I can get at an auto parts store?

    Question on new exhaust installation

eucharistos, that's where I saw it, thanks. I'm working on a four post lift and looking for some stuff to do over the winter so I think at this point I'll install the exhaust with clamps from the cats back, drive it the 5 or 6 miles to a good muffler shop and have them install the cats and...

    Question on new exhaust installation

I thought I read in the forums there is some reason you're not suppose to drive the car with the sills off. I don'r recall the reason, the only thing that can happen is branding yourself getting out of the car.
