    201MPH

In a relatively stock car I can only imgine. In a nice TT car with some stoptechs it wouldn't take much at all. 80-210 in 10ish seconds, and back down to legal speed in probably about the same. But thats no fun, drop it in 6th and cruise at 200 for a while (requires 750ish rwhp to pull that...

    My engine job begins.......Again!

you're absolutely correct that it should be machined however it will be built. In the very least I would double check all the main clearances with the studs to be sure it didn't distort the caps.

    The BIGGEST viper wing YET!

Thats not even close to the biggest, someone needs to post pics of that yellow heap that shows up to the IL viper meetings, it's HIDEOUS, to the point where it has support cables to hold the spoiler up.

Bad News My Engine is BROKEN!!

a 3L 6 isn't exactly the same as a 488" V10, you can't even make a direct comparison to the boost levels. And a wideband O2 doesn't have any shorter of a life than a regular one, all the guys running the AEM standalone leave them in full time and it hasn't been an issue yet. After a few...

Before and After JM's Striker Heads - Not so creamy anymore!

Re: Before and After JM\'s Striker Heads - Not so creamy anymore! It really depends on how agressive the cam is, lobe separation, overlap, etc. A cam with a lot of overlap (at lower rpm) will cause exhaust gasses to somewhat be pushed back into the intake, it's what gives a big cam that...

    [*****] or SVS

The only reason the magazine guys use his cars is because he's the only tuner who will hand over a customers car for them to beat the ever living chit out of for a couple weeks.

SVS N/A Viper vs Corvette C6-Z06

Ok GIVE ME A FLIPPIN BREAK HERE! Do you REALLY think that it was a SINGLE pull? Come on now. Just to clue you in from someone who hangs out with this crowd on a regular basis. It isn't a single pull, If I had to guess they made runs like this for at least a few hours that night. Like I...

SVS N/A Viper vs Corvette C6-Z06

Rule number 8 8. The Viper Club of America nor its sponsors condone illegal street racing. As such, there will be no posts promoting or reporting such activity. This includes descriptions, pictures, or videos. The VCA encourages you to "take it to the track" and drive safely

SVS N/A Viper vs Corvette C6-Z06

Hate to be a ball breaker, but I have gone out with these guys MANY times, and it's not some desolate 10 mile baron highway. Don't be making out any of the involved parties to be saints by any stretch. Josephs' point is not the circumstances to make everyone feel warm and fuzzy about it...

SVS N/A Viper vs Corvette C6-Z06

I won't get into my feelings on the racing situation, don't feel like being that hypocritical right now... But I do have to agree with Joseph on this one thing. A big name tuner is here advocating, and even PROMOTING (due to their logo in the video) of illegal highway street racing. That...

SVS DIY Bolt on TT system is completed !!

I already have, but figured everyone else would be interrested to see them as well. What A/R are you using? .68? I wasn't aware they made a .96 or 1.15 hotside for the T3 stuff. So even after all the head work that car had, it still needs an aftermarket cam to keep the torque from falling...

    Crystal Cove is DEAD

I posted about it on f-chat already. It will keep going, but we're trying to revive it back to the car guy hangout, rathern than a who's who of south county spectacle. No worries, it will continue, but likely in another location fairly local to Newport.

SVS DIY Bolt on TT system is completed !!

Where it draws air from will have little to do with hot weather issues. The front mount intercooler blocking the stock radiator is where the major problem lies.

SVS DIY Bolt on TT system is completed !!

Turbo hp "rating" is deceptive to say the least. Do you have a copy of the T3 hotside map so we can see where the efficiency range falls? Have you done any backpressure testing on it? 1.5" primaries and a T3 on a 488ci+ motor is a little iffy. Also, is there anyway to combat the torque...

    Results from SVS DIY TT - 880rwhp / 960rwtq 93 octane 12psi

You forgot the built bottom end, JM cylinder heads, etc. Built motor making 880rwhp is meh. I recall Dells car with a similar setup (on stock heads) making 1050rwhp at 12psi. When you make the apples to apples comparison, it's pretty sad. And yes they are BOTH DIY kits. ask...

    Results from SVS DIY TT - 880rwhp / 960rwtq 93 octane 12psi

Only when i'm around :buttkick: But he does bring up a good point. Why is it that the torque curve falls by 30% (300ish ft/lbs) from 4500 to redline? Peak numbers are neat and all, but the total curve is what wins races, and well that one leaves quite a bit to be desired. ps, who's...
