The problem he faces here is that with the much larger port volume heads, increased flow, and the camshaft to match, it will raise the operating rpm range. Retaining the stock, or even slightly raising the static compression is not adequate. Due to the cam profile, and cylinder head design...

    coolant in the paxton S/C

The intercooler temps should never reach a level where there would be any coolant loss. Personally I would try to keep the anti-freeze level to a minimum inside the IC. It is actually a pretty poor thermal conductor, and unless it's required based on your region, i'd skip it all together...

    2003 bone stock dyno results

LOL, so you're all about using 1960's technology on a modern car? If you had ANY racing experience it would be very very apparent over the years why exhaust wraps are so bad. A 2 1/2" "track exhaust" You might want to call Corsa and see what their marketing dept says about that. Wait you...

    Random tech cats broken....

Off colored comments? hahahaha you haven't seen anything yet. And no it doesn't show ignorance, it shows my disgust towards uneducated, flap jaw salemen. Not only have you been proven wrong on nearly every post, but then you LIE and try to cover your tracks. The O2 simm thread is a perfect...

HELP! KW Variant 2 cpilover failure!

Ok you need to pull that shock off and take a look at the adjuster ring. From what I can tell it probably stripped the threads on the adjuster ring. Also take a look around it and make sure it isn't cracked. But stripped threads are about the only way it would slide down a threaded shock body...

    Silent but deadly, Any recommendations?

Tim- Do you want to retain the stock cats, or remove them? From a power perspective I would remove them, run an O2 simm, and full 3" exhaust all the way back. Corsa, Borla, and even Mopar make great flowing exhaust systems. Most peoples choice is all sound dependant. Run a couple resonators...

    2003 bone stock dyno results

Really, you didn't? In This Thread You said TWICE that the 3" was only for blower/turbo cars, and that a 3" had lost power on your car... And if Ceramic coating is the way to go, then why not do that and bypass the rigged up header tape that is only going to damage the tubes? The only reason...

HELP! KW Variant 2 cpilover failure!

I'm trying to figure out exactly what happened here. Did the adjuster ring break (the piece you turn to adjust preload), or did the retainer that holds the spring to the shaft fail? Can you post some pics?

Slate Crystal Pearlcoat on a 2006 SRT-10 CONVERT is this an original color?

Re: Slate Crystal Pearlcoat on a 2006 SRT-10 CONVERT is this an original co Those CCW's? Damn thats a good looking car, and I don't even really like the SRT's all that much.

Road trip suggestions from California to Georgia ?

I'd definitely take option 2. And not only because you can cruise the 15 at 120mph+ (preferably at night) with a very minimal chance of getting nailed, but it's a great drive. Driving up through the CO mountains will be 10x better than the wasteland that is TX and OK.

    2003 bone stock dyno results

To expand on that further, exahust wrap is generally very hard on the exahust in general. When not driving it can retain quite a bit of moisture, which (even when using stainless) is rather hard on the tubing. If you're really concerned about heat get the whole thing ceramic coated. But as...

"Home made" MAGNAFLOW off road!! best exhaust 4 price

Re: Since you seem to know oh so much about "racing cats" just what (and no marketing b/s, true facts) separates a "racing cat" from a stock one? Do you have ANY idea what kind of restriction they place in the exhaust? Asthma from racing? BWAHAHAHHAAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHA thats the funniest...

Yes, the 47/48re from a V10 or Cummins diesel will bolt to the viper motor.

    SRT Brakes for GEN II

What is it with you? Did anyone ASK if there were other big brake kits available? You're like a bad infomercial that won't go away. Sorry for the thread jack, how about those pics of the SRT calipers on a Gen II. I've heard from quite a few people it's a kick ass upgrade for the $$$$. :2tu:

    Belanger SRT-10 install........any problems with

No we definitely agree (Kenny and I that is), you are 100% WRONG. On a DODGE, the post cat O2 sensors do nothing but monitor the condition of the Cats. Thats it, they play no proprietary role in the function of the engine what so ever. If the MIL is on, it could be a faulty sim, but that...

Will be interesting to see the dyno numbers and how they fall in the rpm range. I get the feeling you will cut it off just when this thing is really starting to run. Oh well, as long as it makes that peak # then rock on right. Not to threadjack, but who is feeding you this crap? Yes low...

    Parts Pornography

Hmmm... That could be the most bizarre engine build i've seen in quite some time. Few things i'm curious about. Big ported aftermarket heads, bigger cam (what are the specs?) nice rockers... Yet you want to maintain stock rpm ranges? Thats fairly contradictory right off the start. Why the...

Nice setup. Are you retaining the stock main and rod bearing dia? That would play a bigger role in high rpm life than stroke. Billet main caps and arp studs are on the way as well? I hope. Are you planning on doing any oil system mods? dry sump maybe? When they line hone the crank...

    Bat's Big Brake Upgrade (PICS)!

Re: Bat\'s Big Brake Upgrade (PICS)! Killer upgrade but IMO the red calipers and blue stripes leave something to be desired. IMO, it's time to lose the stripes all together. Kooks killer from a side view though.

Pics of my SRT lowered with KW's and HRE wheels!

Re: Pics of my SRT lowered with KW\'s and HRE wheels! How much did you lower it? The big wheels kinda give an illusion of it being silly low, but it really doesn't look that crazy low at all. Killer stance for an SRT. maybe go to yellow calipers now?

black srt coupe pics, please post

Nah, this is the best looking one i've seen yet, if your into the hard core batmobile look. Car had some pretty extensive lowering work done, shorter shocks, autoform hood, and 18's all around. It was silly low but looked bad ass.

Poking around Tirerack I noticed Goodyear KDW has Viper fitment now.

where? The biggest size I saw that might fit is the 295/35/18, nothing 335+. It is a great tire but they would be mismatched F&R... unless i'm blind and missing the big sizes.

    15,000 mile Mobil 1 Oil?

I'll give my (never worked for an oil company, but broke a lot of chit) $.02 Oil changes are VERY climate dependant. If your car sits for months at a time during the winter you should change it and filter before you put her up. Start the car and let it get up to full operating temp every...
