Very good question....
I had a light go off a while ago... Cleared it too see if it would come back...
Never came back....
So when I dropped the car off to Larry to get the supercharger put on...
We lifted the car up and you could see a big hole in the exhaust.. The hanger
had ripped off the...
Here it goes.
When the car is in a closed loop, it goes by the O2 sensors... So the right bank is popping like crazy..
Before I installed the supercharger, I had a problem with this bank...
It just seems very odd that the same bank is having problems.
When idling you can tell just by...
Looks like I hit a sore spot...
Number 1...
You have been very rude the whole time...
Number 2...
I found out that you need vacuum pressure and rpm to kick off the fuel pumps....
Number 3...
The pumps are getting kicked off...
Number 4...
I am having problems with the passenger...
Whats changed?
The SS box was changed to a new one... Thats it..
You wonder why these boards are worthless as far as information comes..
One of the main reasons I switched out the SS box was to put it in the cabin and to also
eliminate that being the problem...
That was changed and I...
I also noticed that my gas gauge goes down pretty quick....
I think I am just going to hook some LEDS up to see if they turn on...
Can't really here them when the car is on... And it doesn't seem like I am getting accurate pressure...
Joe
I checked the fuel pumps with a 9v battery before started installing the new ss box...
And both pumps work.
So then I wired the new ss box and installed it inside the cab this time..
The car runs much better when idling..
After driving it for about an hour the car started run rich again...
So other people know...
I cut a slit in the grommet behind the clutch in the top left...
I untwisted a coat hanger and put it through the hole into the cabin...
I taped the wires and vacuum line to the coat hanger and pulled in right through...
Just make sure you don't pinch the vacuum...
Whats the easiest way to get the firewall??
I can't get the gromit out... Am I being to easy?? Should I just pull it out???
Anybody have any tips? I need to get my Split Sec box wires out to the engine bay.
I have a 2005 vert...
Thanks,
Joe
Did you change the wires yourself???
Can I just take off the wipers and the cowl and route the wires that way?
Instead of taking the intake manifold off???
Joe
Good I ordered them too.. Thats what I am waiting for... Also waiting to get the paxton squared away also... Should be messing with it a little bit tonight....
Joe
I have noticed that if my seat is not in the right position.. It does cause my back to hurt...
Play around with it.... Move the seat up a little bit and then lean it back... or do the opposite....
I am 6'3" 230lbs... Stock 2005 seats...
Joe
I just received mine last week... Will be putting them on in the next couple of weeks...
They look 10 times better than the stock ones......
The name says it all ... Quality Wires...
Dimitrios... Did you go with the Gen2 looms with your wires?
Also nice color... I have the same.... They...
I sent the mdb file to you JD.. Take a look at it when you can.
The fuel map seems very off and there is no timing changes at all in the lower ranges only above 7psi....
Joe
Hey JD,
Have you personally messed with the split second box and configured fuel mappings and timing settings?
I pulled the mapping tables and see some interesting stuff.....
Joe
Jon is sooo grumpy.....
My wife messed up our checking account up right when I ordered tires from him....
Causing me to not have enough money to pay him for the tires....
Not only did he send them... Received them in about 3 days.....
He told me pay me when you can......
What a grump...
Wiring schematic is available on the website...
Its actually quite a basic setup....
Does anybody who have a newer kit have a relay going to the fuel pumps?
Joe
Not true... If the pumps never get a signal...It doesn't matter if the pumps work or not...
They will never turn on... By taking a 9v and hooking it up to the pumps.. All that does is let me know that they work...which doesn't explain why the circuit never closes..
There is no relay going to...
