Spinning Out.......
The question I think was " Why does a Viper spin out?" Eldiablo...Are you saying that a 2 piston rear caliber is no different than a 6 piston caliper? are you crazy? Are you saying that a 355MM area of brake pad surface is the same as 275 mm of surface?- Mike H

Mike....I do know one team mate Lenny D. put the 4 wheel Stop Tech's on his car an it was a Huge improvement. I did a Brembo 4 piston all around kit and it was also huge difference. PS: I would not increase the front brakes without looking at rear brakes as you may intensify the Vipers front braking, causing the rear to get loose and may create front wheel lockup. I have seen this problem before.- Mike H

Thanks Bill......That was supposed to be "Crossdrilled" is not the best for road racing". I have never heard of anyone not liking the Stoptech 4 piston setup. My .02 on that is the Viper 4 piston front is an offtake manufactured by Brembo for Viper. So the Stop Tech setup really is an...- Mike H

Well for the last 2 years we used the Hutchens style restraint. This year moving to using the Hans also. The more safety in a car THE BETTER!!!! Especially if its your head!- Mike H

Interesting comment made by Viper Tech at dealership per Recall
THATS BULL!!!!! I have had both my street Viper and Race car done. It is a recall where the frame peice for the rack is REPLACED. It is the better designed rack on the newer year cars...I think 2001 or the 2002 cars have this rack. Go to someone else as they are clueless!- Mike H

Viper Racing?
Little correction on what the new CC is allowed in "WCGT". The front tire is a 275 width, not a 295 width. there is a 100 lb weight penalty for ABS. thinking about using redline oil
Bruce from Bruces Speed Shop in NNJ, took some various cars, put them all on his dyno, ran them with there "stock" fluids in the rear and transmissions. They then emptied the fluids, put Redline in the rears and Trans's and EVERY car made rear wheel HP gains with Redline. That convinced me!!- Mike H

Ps....It was a sunny day, clean roads, no snow and all I put on the car was 20 miles....could have taken the car for hours, as he handed me the keys and told me to bring it back whenever. Actually beleive the Viper belongs to Gary Barberra as they purchase it from someone else. They paid a very high price to get the car. They were gracious enough to let me out in it as I am a very careful driver and really as it only had 300 miles on it, to not go over 3000 or so RPM's They are...- Mike H

Well, my crew chief and Viper tech at Gary Barberra Dodgeland called me today to say a new red SRT-10 was in. Needless to say where I was today. Geno Barberra let me have the car for however long I wanted it....an hour later I was saying oh no...cant afford Viper # 3 right now, time to take it...- Mike H
