New member here, new Viper owner

The car is easy to work on. Most parts are fairly common and easy to get to. The one thing I would recommend is reading as much as you can on how to drive this car. Its a hoot to drive, but when pushed the wrong way it will get out of control within a second. And of course it usually happens...

What to do when you lose control of a SRT10?

The biggest thing for me is check your EGO at the door. When you get in the car realize that it really lives up to its name. It will bite quick. I have been in a couple of unsticy situations and managed to recover due to some skill and lightning quick reflexes. On thing I did lean. If your...

I got a fresh set of PS2s non run flat on my ride and the back right tire keeps leaking. Every time the check it the leak is around the outter bead. The garage junkie says that the chrome is peeling off my 10 spoke 03 rims. I keep telling them that there is no chrome on these rims...

Gen 3 compared to a Gen 4 rear end for auto cross

I would like to some autocross with the Viper this summer. I have a 03 and have heard that the rear ends on the gen 4 are set up better for that kind of driving. I has something to do with the transfer of the power durning turns. Can someone explain the details if this is true? -Brant

Flower Mound teen dies after flipping Dodge Viper this weekend

Its unfortunate that this young man died and many prayers go out to his family. Just everyone look back and remember the young days in high school with the motorcycles and friends crashing. I was a crazy fool in my younger years. I do remember so many close calls and near crashes that I was...

Key Fob, $160 from dealer? Options?

I bought my car with only one FOB. I bough one one ebay and took it to the dealer. This remote must be programmed by the dealer on a gen 3. I think the older gens can do it at home. It was painless and actually worked fine. The cost was under $100 for fob and programming.

When am I not a new owner?

Im not sure I will be doing any mods. I did that with my last car. Methanol, new turbo, exhaust etc. I had fun doing it. The idea of this car is that its over the top to start with. I think It dosent need much but a new stereo. How do I get a warning from the mods? -B

When am I not a new owner?

I have ridden in one sweet pace car. I went to 3 meetings I think last year. And I usually only drive it to work 3 miles and have it out on the weekends when the weather is good. Its not a garage queen. The children’s hospital event was great. Not being a Noob is great. -B
