To answer your questions, there is no way to tell how good a lawyer is. First off, just because a case was dismissed for one person doesn't mean it's going to happen if you retain him. We are only as good as the facts you give us. I agree that you should get someone who practices in that...
I think a "Prince of Egypt" doll or some rims from a 1979 S-10 would be better. Though Mike did have his eye on that exercise bike and wheel chair! :lmao:
As I recall it was 12k (Vipers - 15 cars) to 18k (Vettes - 40+ cars). With these high HP Vipers headed in, and a good turnout, I think we have a chance this year!
Just a heads up for those attending. After the HP Challenge, I've reserved space for those wanting to grab a late lunch at Big Al's Sports Bar & Grill. It's very reasonable with plenty of parking and it's family friendly (for those bringing kids).

It's based on crank power...so you'll get credit for the full 600hp. If you have done anything to your car, then get it dyno'd as we add 15% driveline loss...so 600hp to the wheels would equal 690hp in the challenge.

We also end up going to lunch afterward, which is always fun!
Anyone interested in getting together for lunch today? It's going to be nice out...great opportunity to get out and clean the carbon out of your motor! Looks like some headed down from Fredericksburg to meet up down here in Richmond about 1p or so.

I'm not saying I disagree with the expansion of the move over law, just that it is the particular law that was changed to allow for the higher fines now, not just for speeding. I'm all for protecting those who have to work on the side of the road.
I went through the same thing with family and friends earlier this year when this surfaced (again). Thanks to Kelly for getting the info out before I could!
I remember fighting these a few years ago and having to convince judges to delay the imposition of the fees as the law was going to be...
