Mopar Steve,
Agree with those above. I have a graphite gray ACR and the carbon fiber goes very well with the car color. They offer protection and look sharp as well. I also have the clear plastic film applied to those areas of the car that are most likely to take abuse. Check out...
546,
I am unaware of a checklist specific to 2008 or Gen IV Vipers. Just the standard items like tires, brakes depending upon mileage of the car. Extended warranties are between 1 and 2 K depending upon year of car and amount of deductible. Regarding accidents, get insurance to cover the...
willworkforvipers,
Street racing is just plain stupid as you are putting yourself and others at risk if you are driving excessive speeds on public roads. If you want to prove your manhood, why not go to the nearest track and show your corvette owners what you can do on a road course or a drag...
Can someone enumerate why this PCM is for "off road" use only? Is it because the skip shiift is eliminated which could affect gas mileage or an effect on emissions or a combination of factors?
BTW, I happen to like the popping on decel and the rough idle. Behaves more like a race car than a...
In PA complete inspection is done by private garages licensed by the state to do inspections. Car is put on a lift and all 4 wheels removed and tires checked. Brakes, suspension, exhaust, steering rack are all checked, along with lights, wipers, and emissions. If car is driven less than 5K...
Would not make much sense to have the red arrow light up after you have damaged the car. I have had the red light come on a couple of times at the track, both when being pushed from behind by a would be overtaking car. Once i hit the rev limiter as the fuel pump shut off temporarily. no...

You are correct on all accounts as to why a seller will deny buyer a test drive. Although I understand your rationale. With a private buyer you might persuade them by giving them a cashiers check for the purchase price with written agreement the purchase is final should you damage the car...
First of all your sample size of 2 deaths in 100 cars is too small to make a conclusion such as you are making. As noted by others above, it is the driver and not the car that makes it safe or dangerous unless there is some inherent design flaw in the car making it dangerous. That is not the...
The Viper certainly is a collector's car and a lot more. A Viper is a great addition to any exotic car collection given its history and unbelievable performance. Now that the Viper is approaching 20 years old, one can see that after a period of depreciation, the cars tend to stabilize in...
Since we are talking nostalgia here, how many can recall the first TV commercial featuring the Viper. It is what got me hooked on Dodge. The commercial featured 2 cars in the desert driving hard toward the camera. Both cars are unbelievably designed hot sports cars. The cars stop in a cloud of...
Assuming by drop you mean lower the price, the answer is almost certainly no. The Viper is such a low volume production car that there will always be a market for used Vipers that remain steady. If you look at the history of used Vipers over the past almost 20 years now, the depreciation has...
My 09 ACR had the CEL come on during normal driving after about 300 miles. Car drove fine and I thought it was the gas cap routine as well. Turned out it was not, so I took it to the dealer and the code had something to do with exhaust. He cleared the code for me and I have been driving the...
Shoorter,
Not sure why you are giving Mark a hard time? When I bought my ACR from Woodhouse last year, it arrived with a complementary full tank of gas. As Mark said, the dealer has to drive it to the gas station to do this and while at it, will make sure all is well with the vehicle so that the...
Andrew,
I attended this event last year and had a blast. Unfortunately, can't attend this year due to son's tournament conflict. If they use the same course (Pocono north course) you will use NASCAR turns 1 and 2 (both banked) and will hit speeds in excess of 140 mph as you approach turn 2. I...
I don't completely understand why all the interest in changing 5th and 6 th gears. Unless you are competing in a standing mile event, it will make little difference. On most tracks all you will be using are gears 1-4 and the lower gearing will cost you mileage for street use.

Sorry to hear about your clutch and transmission problems, especially after all the work you had done to the car. Are the clutch and transmission covered under warranty with the upgrades you have done or was the warranty voided by the upgrades?
Thanks,
PAVenomRT/10
The only tools that come with the ACR are the spanner wrench and allen wrench for adjusting ride heght. You should also have the front splitter track extension.
