Re: HELP! my doors won\'t open!
wow Louis... This is becoming a real bummer...
If the car starts and stays running the battery should be OK...
It may be time to call in a Viper tech...
Charge the battery up tonight and see if that will work for you
I think you have said you are going to...
Re: HELP! my doors won\'t open!
Its easy to check to see if its the alarm or you just hit the
door locks by accident....
To check if its the alarm just open the rear hatch... if its
the alarm the horn will sound.
And if its the alarm you should be able to open the doors with
the key fob.
If...
Re: HELP! my doors won\'t open!
This is an easy one... as I have done it too many times myself...
When you wiped down one of the doors you hit the lock button.
And you didn't even know you hit it.... ( been there done it )
Now you closed your doors and your locked out of the car.
Lesson...
Does your horn work????
I found my horn fuse blown...
Freaked me out one night as I couldn't tell if the car was
being unlocked by the key faub and for a minute or two I
thought the battery was dead in the faub, with visions of
me crawing in through the back window was not a pretty picture...
Well from the picture it looks like the viper was playing
cat and mouse games with the Toyota (?).... sorta like a
great dane wanting to have sex with a poodle.
But upon closer inspection, it could have been the NASCAR
racing shoes that the viper driver was wearing that was
the real cause and...
Sounds like some one put in an aftermarket alarm...
The stock alarm does not have the capability to detect if someone
or some thing is close or not... it just knows if one of the
doors or window (GTS) get open'd... and the hood too.
Sorta just pull her down and push to the far right....
Here in Texas when its hot like it is now, I use 6th gear
alot just to cool the car down on the road....
If I keep the car in a lower gear the temp go too high for me...
I just put her in 6th and about 3 minutes later its driving
much...
Eddie, The dead pedal was a unamimus request by the existing
Viper owners here on the VCA board, that it be added to the next
Gen Viper.
Its a foot rest for your left foot when you drive on the highway.
Normaly its just a small block mounted on the left side of the
drivers foot well with a...
Ok its clutch time and I have the new clutch in hand... going to
be doing this one myself... any pointers from the experts here as
I have never done one on a Viper before...I have the service manual
but not too much detail there..
I have done cluthes on other cars so I kinda know what I'm...
This marks the day that a new classic was born....
Happy Birthday to the Gen 1 and Gen 2 vipers on the OFFICIAL
date on Monday.
July 1, 2002 - Last of the best...
Smoke them if you got them :-)
Re: Since I got my \'96 GTS, I\'ve been asked a couple questions I can\'t answer............
2002 vipers.... 1463
details will be given in the next few days...
ACR.... best bet... keep it stock as possible, except
maybe a few things that you can bring the car back to stock
again if need be.... smooth tubes and easy stuff like that
Don't throw out any parts you upgrade...
When the dust settles after the SRT10 comes out, people will
be looking for...
While at the Dyno this past weekend another viper was there
and he had a K&N airbox/cone filter/hard tube setup...
It was nice as it did have a air box that kept the hot air out
of the cone filters and worked well with the hood duct.
The box looked like it was carbon fibre and had hard tubes...
Re: Does anyone have a pic of yellow with stripes that aren\'t black?
Bigcarrot, BlackACR.... what the heck are you two doing in front
of my house... :-)
A great looking stripe on the yellow is blue... the same color
blue that they use on the the Blue Viper...
Defratus has done a purple...
You'll find your answer about the buffers and wax's
right here....

There's some very good info here.... I am thinking one of
the best investments you can buy is the new microfibre towels...
I got a set for fathersday and they are fantastic...
Ok... slowly I'm getting the picture... :-) what it sounds
like from your last description is that the door is too far
back... So if I have the picture correct this time you just
need to move the door forward a smiggen. That adjustment
is again at the door hinge but this time its where the...
Aaaah... I see you didn't read my post very well...
remember #3 will correct the rubbing... but the rotation
is adjusted on the door side of the door hinge...
Think of it like this... take a coke can and lay it on its
side on a desk in front of you. Lay it length wise from left
to right...
I hope this post will help you ...
The track issue you bring up could certaintly cause for more
investigation in that area, I do not know off the top of my
head how that is adjusted... ( have to look at manual )
But don't discount the door adjustment(s) yet... The door
adjustments are:
