I have the apr set up. In fact they used my car as the test mule for the wing, spliter ,and kanards. I do track my car and I'm happy with the aero. I'm not a pro racer by any means but I do okay. I have had no problems with my Apr set up, except you have to be careful on the street with the...
I think I'm waiting on the MyGig unit. FinalGTS is working on the full kit. The quality and fit and finish on it appear to be a bit better. Nice info on all of this.
Thanks
the simple fix is check your pads replace if necessary and don't use the E brake. Every time you pull the e brake up it adjusts the pads in. This keeps the pad right on the rotor. So only use it when completely needed and you will have no issues!
I had a 2000 Gts and it always had a drain with stock and then aftermarket stereo units. Just put a battery tender on it and don't waist time looking for the problem. Unless it gets worse then a two week drain. I had the cord come out of the driver side gil like Paul suggested. You can just...
I guess my point is this. The bottom of the GEN 2 has a lot of areas that are open (poor aero). Not the back area that you are pointing to on the Gen 3. If the air goes under the car and it gets "dirty" under there because it's not closed off for good aero. Then the exit is not going to help. In...
I agree. You can say that Hennessey will take 50 Gen V Vipers and make 1000hp (or whatever) to trump the Supersnake but it's not a production car after that.
Looks good I wanted to do this with my Gen 2. It doesn't add any function but it looks good. Diffuser blades really only work when you have the entire bottom of the car closed off. The Gen 3 is much better example of this as the bottom is almost completely covered.
I think what he is saying is, that part of the pad is not heating up. I sent him extensive photos so he did mean where the groove was happening. The good news is there is no need to do anything if I want to leave it.
Here is info straight from Stoptech:
"This is a result of the pad you are using running predominantly too cold for the friction material type and your driving profile. Almost all pads are more abrasive when cold and in this case the Aerorotor hat is keeping the inner edge of the pad too cold...
100k and it still is a mustang.

They could at least dress it up to hide the fact that it's ugly. Besides that will not be a factory car, I'm sure tuners out there will do the same with the new...
Take it off re polish it or have it painted to match your car. I took off the plastic parts and replaced them with hardware. Nobody was the wiser and it looked great.
Loved my GTS but sold it last year and grabbed a 2006 SRT never looked back. Two different kids from the same mom. The GTS was a classic design as far as the looks but it was a bit like driving a brick with 450hp and no brakes or steering. The SRT10 performance and and style is still very Viper...
Here is what I have from Archer Racing. You can download it from my link. I did this a few months back it's not hard but it helps to have someone that has done it. The photos from the above thread and the instructions should get you though.

Re: thanks
My advice is after you get new tires go to a track that offers driver ed. Your 18, unless you have been driving cart/race cars your entire life? (no offense intended) I would drive the car with some instruction under a safe environment first and learn what it can do. Start finding...
You can't go wrong with the OEM mopar fluids. They have them spected for a reason. As long as you keep to your maitence record you should be just fine. On the brakes if you are doing lots of auto cross you may need to bleed them more often and use a high temp fluid.
Having been a gen 2 and now a gen 3 owner. I can say I love my gen 3. It is always a joy and for your first time buy you would not be disappointed in a gen 3. The differences here have been noted. The horse power gain is big, but if your a first time viper owner you will have plenty in a gen 3...
Dan, Are you seeing wear like this as well? I have to check your brakes next time I see you. Now I'm going to start looking at all the ACR rotors. I'm also going to take some better pictures and send them to Stoptech to see what they say.
