Who\'s got the Gen 1 in Aruba?! after seeing nothing but 3 or 4 cylinder cars there for over a week I was amazed to a red Gen 1 come blazing down the strip :laugh: license plate was 'POP' - i wonder if the owner visits this board?? after seeing cars with straws for exhaust pipes that viper...- tim721

a few pics of my car taken this saturday
car looks great Phil.. were you heading westbound on 287 on Saturday around 2-3pm?? (across from the Palisades Mall) - saw a really clean silver GTS, not sure if it was you, i was going eastbound. could of been Steve too, not sure if it was an ACR.- tim721

Gen1 vs. Gen2
exactly what Mitch said it also depends how much you wanna drive it. if you're gonna do like 10-15K/yr on it, the Gen 1 window issue will be a pain. the Gen 1s have sidepipes though, & those kick azz! :headbang:- tim721

Re: \'99 GTS emblems and exhaust leak where more specifically does the leak sound like its coming from? as far as the emblems go, when i replaced mine i think Tator told me 6 inches from the bottom of the hood (where it meets the side sill), centered.- tim721

Yes, got my soft top ... but,
yeah its obviously bowing up more in the center from catching all that air coming in. 1/4 to 1/2" is way too much, i'd suggest just getting new pins. if i were you i'd call Northwind & sell your old pins on ebay. somebody may need them for a hardtop or whatever.- tim721

Yes, got my soft top ... but,
i was confused too. when i ordered them Northwind faxed me a sheet that i had to fill out for specs on my current size pins & how much i needed them to change. they made me a set exactly to my specs. apparently between 92-96 there was alot of variation in the sizes. you're gonna need to...- tim721

btw, i also ended up with a new top off a 96 that had even shorter pins than the 95. the bottoms (where they would fit into the window frame) were even different shapes. the rear pins all were the same size though. at the time i think Northwind wanted like $80 for the set. hope this helps...- tim721

Yes, got my soft top ... but,
94 & 95 pins lengths CAN vary. i had a top from a 95 on my 94 at one point & the front pins were different lengths. not by much, but just enough so that I couldn't get the latch to fasten onto the windshield frame. I called Northwind Engineering & they shipped me proper size pins.- tim721
