Go for it :D
Even the 2000 Cobra R will not give a stock Gen2 a "run for the money on a road course" - throw in the GTS ACR & it's even more of a defeat (for the Mustang). Unless you mean to compare 2012 mustang to Vipers at least 10 years older.
I love all cars. Out of the 20 I own...
So I had one of my guys order me the new SuperSport for the rear. Got them to Discount Tire in 3 days - I'm loving it because everyone is telling me good luck, there is a nation wide shortage and you won't get them anytime soon. So I drive to Discount yesterday and find out my guy ordered 20"...
You're in luck:

I've seen several Gen2 frames on the market lately.
I use that technique as an excuse to mask my crappy launches - I balme it on the power of the car and fall back on the "you know I'd beat you if I had traction" argument.....but basically I can't drag race to save my life.
...but someday I will have a 510 stroker too :D :envy
That I can picture & believe :D
I bet it's killing you that you can't simply make modifications "since we're already in here/it's already opened up", etc. You'll have to PM me the shop. I haven't been following your adventure.
Knock youself out :D

The holy grail...well more like a bed pan:

Anything is possible. I was walking out of a gas station 2 days ago and found myself struggling to stay upright as I slid 5-7 feet before stopping. I really didn't even know what was happening at the time. Once I came to a stop I noticed I just stepped in what looked like a puddle of brand...
I'm right there with you FlatOut - I really hate the see the rivalry go away....Is A&M going to change their fight song now since it won't make since in the SEC? :D
Simply changing your pads will increase the effectiveness of your brakes considerable. Cross-drilled rotors will give you the bling but the slotted rotors are better.
Try a more aggressive pad if the "stopping" force or fade is not to your liking.
Highly recommended - take you wife and settle the "who's a better driver" argument once and for all! Unfortunately my wife is a better drag racer than I am, by a lot. When it comes to making turns I'm on top. However in the Challenger shoot-out I barely beat her by half a Challenger, whew...
Forum: "Generation V discussion" - NOT "The Viper is a rip off because my friend with a $50k mustang will beat you with a pulley and tune". I think we can chalk it up to Viper envy. I don't care how rare the mustang is, what racing heritage, how many times Carol Shelby signed it, etc. To...
Yep - have a set on the ACR & RT. The Roe on the RT just spins them, no hop because of the Roe's instant power and not having to feed it RPM to start making power (sorry Plum :D - couldn't help it :D).
The ACR will hop like a cricket in a frying pan - even with the c/r settings on the KW's...
I love the cups on the track - on the street I don't care for them because of the warm up they require. If not warm they have similar grip to run-flats. Once warm they are very nice. Since you're are a strip you have the time to warm up. On the street when you want to give someone an...
After I replaced the stock pads with race pads on the ACR my brakes became super consistant and never faded. I guess that means the work well. Never having carbon ceramic brakes I cannot compare. I also have no need or desire to upgrade to them because the fatory set up (with race pads) work...
The slots in the rotors allow gases to escape. 2 piece rotors are lighter and don't transfer as much heat to the hub/bearing as well as reduce/prevent warping , can also just replace the rotor, and reuse the hat, some 2 piece rotors are floating which allow the brakes to fully release and the...
nice....We'll see how the SEC "welcomes" the Aggies this year (it's been 16 years since A&M has beat an SEC team....). To much of the photo above I'd assume :D:D:D It's still difficult for me to defend Austin.... Not my cup of tea I guess :D
