So far mostly dudes, besides the wife catches me giving rides and I won't be riding once I get home if you catch my drift! Plus if you have 3 or 4 people you'll be tied up all day being the ridemaster.
Now a hot blonde might get a quick run as those are my weak point. Hence the platinum one at...
Re: I\'ve re-joined the Viper Nation....
Welcome back in black been so long glad to be back, yes you are, footloose in the noose! Maybe those rims are from Chip Foose? :nana:
Being new to the Viper and having a shiny red 98 RT/10 it seems everyone wants to walk over, take a minute to look and ask a couple questions, inevitably many say they would love to have one.
I kind of just listen and put a word or two in to make them feel welcome but find myself in a little...
Oh Ya! Even if it has low mileage but has the original tires, GET NEW ones as they lose their grip when hardened and dried out. One set of 4 tires $1200-$1500 is cheaper then the smallest of body shop repairs and if you really lose it, well that's that!
P.S. A valentine1 Radar detector is...
Way to go guys, hang in there and do the time. I've got my 20 years behind me and know that empty feeling that comes with being away. USAF You can see the light you'll be driving in no time Jucd take it one day at a time bro the waiting game sucks! Just think of the low mileage you'll retain...
Re: She\'s on Ebay!
I'm glad I'm new to owning one, 450 HP after having average cars is plenty of power for the newbie. Yours is a sweet one indeed! Love that color scheme! Best of Luck and sorry to see you sell.
Definitely learn how to handle it before you get on it. These things bite hard and are VERY expensive to repair.
Took a couple neighbor guys for a ride today who were down visiting, they both drive ricers and were amazed at the torque and pure beauty of the 98 RT/10.
Changed my Tranny and Diff...
Front looks GREAT, interior appears on the gaudy side and the back end IMHO is terrible. What can I say, I just love everything about the Gen II's. Owning one probably makes me somewhat biased as well.
I bought this one for $41,000 with 10,000 miles on it so look around! http://gallery.viperclub.org/showphoto.php/photo/7306/sort/1/size/medium/cat/500/page/1
I asked this same question a while back and got some great replies! http://www4.forum.viperclub.org/showflat.php?Cat=&Board=UBB14&Number=668065&Forum=All_Forums&Words=10687&Match=Username&Searchpage=10&Limit=25&Old=allposts&Main=668065&Search=true#Post668065
I baught the 98 RT/10 for exactly these reasons along with a few others! Gen III's to me appear generic and too streamlined, almost like they gave it a personality vasectomy.
Gen II's are thr cream on the crop in my book!
About an hour and a half Due North of Tampa. They are said to be as far west as Texas on over to Florida and as far north as South Carolina, they can't take the cold.
We all have our individual regions issues to deal with so between summer squalls and the occasional love bugs, I would consider...
Ak! It's that time again here in the Southeast. Just read up on these little acidic paint eating black flies, They come out for a few weeks in may and again a little heavier in Sept.
It's best to wash them off within 24 hours or they're carcasses will begin to etch and pit your paint, Ideally...
At your age you should start collecting Vipers. Time your 50 you could sell a few and retire comfortably. Don't try that with the Vette. I had a Vette and will never go back. My two cents, keep the change.
Have you had an opportunity to put the car up on a lift to look for hot spots along the exhaust paths? Granted you're saying when you get on it, but all the same I would have a good look for any evidence there to start.
