I told you so I told you so I told you so... When you told me at Willow Springs last Wednesday that you were tired and would be taking a break I just rolled my eyes John told me he was going to T. Hill too. Sorry but I can't make it... Sister from Sweeden is comming to visit next Wednesday...
Skip Thomas in Viper Days taught us to imagine an egg between our right foot and the gas pedal to get accustomed to "rolling on" the power rather than mashing the throttle. The Viper has an incredible amount of torque... nothing quite like it. It's easy to get sideways in 1st and 2nd as I've...

That was slower in 0-60 mph

I sometimes double clutch my Boxster S when cruising because the tranny is a bit stiff (B&M Shifter) and it seems to ease the downshifts into 1st and 3rd. Never on the track though as there just isn't enough time IMHO.
No problem with Viper tranny on downshifts. Just a heel/toe single clutch...

Very simple 5 minute install. Unscrew the old knob and screw on the new one. Instructions are included with the knob and are very easy to follow. I have the First Strike knob installed without the lock nut to acheive the lowest possible position.

I prefer the looks of my GTS over the SRT-10. However, I like the performance improvements they made on the new car. I also like the interior. Maybe a coupe will look better. Most non-Viper owners I have talked to say the new SRT-10 looks like a big Honda S2000 or Corvette or Camero... but...
John and Ron called me this afternoon. They finished 3rd, just narrowly missing 2nd behind the heavily modified ZR1 (550 hp?) with NASCAR driver. Paul finished 1st. Great job guys!
John... sorry but the Lakers WON!
Great job Ron, John and Paul . You guys are probably as dominant a force as Ferrari in F1. Thanks for the update Ron. Just how fast did you drive those 200 miles?
I saw one on the SoCal VCA Desert Cruise and thought it looked pretty cool. So I ordered one. Unfortunately I was shipped one that was sewn backwards. Viperware has appoligized and is supposed to be sending me a new one.
Nevermind. I just read the link posted by Ron above. Willow Springs on Monday the 13th and SOW on Tuesday the 14th. Sorry guys I'm not gonna be able to make it. Good luck!... nah, you're too good... you don't need luck
Good luck guys!!! Ron, are you bringing your cheerleaders to distract the other drivers? . Actually, with Paul and John I doubt anybody else has a chance anyway... assuming John can make his brakes last for more than one day .
When will you be at Willow Springs and Streets? I would like to...
I'm not into drag racing but would like to know if the 3.55's would be any benefit on the track (i.e. Viper Days). Has anyone driven both the stock 3.07's and 3.55's on the track? Paging Ron Wasserman... don't you have 3.55's on your RT-10?

I am not a racer so this will be good to see what it means to the average driver.

Congrats SSunburn !!! . Seems Bill P. has a corner on the Mission Viejo Viper market... you, me and SSpeedRacer (John). Keep me informed of when you guys decide to get together, and try to enjoy the break-in period
I drove 2 sessions at Buttonwillow in the rain. The Pilot Sports worked great... not as difficult to handle as I thought it would be. Be smooth with the throttle and brakes and you'll be fine.
