Recommened battery for a '96 GTS.
Re: Recommened battery for a \'96 GTS. Just got my Optima 75-35 at Pep Boys ($109) today. I measured the verical hieght of the tray prior to purchasing the battery. My tray measured 7.75 in. I found out that the 75-35 height was 7.6 in. The info is found at... www.optimabatteries.com...- SamC

Silver state classic
I just pulled the Rules, Regs, and Requirements book. I am pleased to find out that the tech speed for the Grand Touring Division (115 - 125 mph) is 140 mph. To run in this division, a 5/6 point harness is required along with a mounted fire extinguisher. I just put these in my car last...- SamC

Silver state classic
A few of us from the SoCal VCA are going to the new Gold Rush Classic the week before the Silver State Classic. We will be running our Vipers. Because this is my first run in this rally, I can only run as 125 mph with a tech speed of 135 mph. Should be a "lode" of fun.- SamC

A little help in SoCal please....
The TCRA (Touring Car Racing Association) just purchased a transponder setup. I do not know if they would be willing to rent it out. Talk to Said Abu-Qartoumy of the So Cal VCA. He apparently knows some of the people in the TCRA and can get you in contact with them.- SamC

DEAD ON THE GRID!!!
Are you referring to the Exide orbital battery? Has anybody used this battery? I am going to change my battery from the OEM to avoid spillage and am not looking forward to Optima fit problems.- SamC

Another EBC Greenstuff thread
