I sprayed my knee bolsters, center console, door panels with black interior dye. I bought a black carpet, and now all I have to do is get black seats, or give a go at dying them first. They look pretty darn good to me.
So I'm told.. lol Lil bit of irish and scottish in me.. :)
As for your concern about running out, that is what the float switch is for. It will turn on a blinking light when it gets low.
Thanks for all the suggestions guys, it really is going to be a difficult decision. My scoop is not functional, and to be honest, I am not sold on it. (kind of reminds me of something that belongs in the F&F movies.... buuuutttt, I will admit it is starting to grow on me a little) I was thinking...
I made my own W/I kit along with a Devil's own controller. I just bought a float and bung for the factory W/W reservoir. It doesn't hold a whole lot, but my jets aren't too big either. Guess it depends on how much you are injecting, what your activities with the car are, and how often, or not...
I've got the gen 2 doors on my 95 now, and I had to modify my top to make the windows work. I will have to paint the top anyway, so should I make it yellow or leave it black. I'm really leaning towards leaving it black.
My car:
Gen 2 with yellow top:
Sorry it's been a while, but I've been messing around with a bunch of other stuff. I finally got the minor body work done on the doors and got them bolted on. I still don't have window regulators or door panels. I painted just the doors before putting them on, and I knew I should have blended...
I'm running the regular NT05's on my TT Gen 1 with Gen3 10 spokes. With my old smaller turbos, I had traction problems. A roll on the throttle in 3rd at about 50mph resulted in loss of traction. I've since upgraded to much bigger turbos, and the onset of power is a little slower than I'd like...
Every once in a while when I start my car from sitting over night or a few days, my drivers side bank floods like a mofo. My AFR guage pins at 10.0:1 and drives like crap. It only comes out of it if I restart the car. (TT Gen1 with VEC3 mounted in glove box) Hasn't happened enough to concern...
Looks fun, nice driving. My friend and I were on our way to an autocross event a few days ago, but his fuel pressure regulator took a crap and we were on the side of the road for over an hour. Missed the event. (would have been my first) Can't wait for the next one.
Same thing on my 95, I just used a 1/4" socket/extension/ratchet. It was still tight, but it worked. Grinding down an old socket will make things easier though.
Sure can!
P.S. Phil didn't get here in time, but this topic has been covered a zillion times, a quick search would have yielded many results and pics.
Cheers,
Still waiting on the second door to be shipped out. Once I get that, I can paint them and bolt them on. Then fight with weather strip and roof clearancing..
I still need to locate two window regulators too.
Thanks, but I'm hoping to source the same weather strip that the mach 7 top uses, as it should be reasonably priced and will match the look of the top. I haven't decided weather I want to make the weather strip on the windshield surround permanent or have it removable with the top.
So I love that my 95 doesn't have windows, but at the same time, I hate "clip in" windows. There is zero info out there about bolting gen 2 doors to a gen 1, so I figured I'd do the fact finding for anyone wanting to do the swap.
Today I bolted up the passengers door with no problem. Door...
When I took the cats from my 95 in to the recyclers, they offered me 20 or 30 bucks each, I kept them. They are not the honeycomb style, so they are worth much less. I've gotten anywhere from 50 to 200 bucks for converters depending on style/size.
I picked one up this past winter and love it. I haven't finished adjusting it yet, but so far it fits pretty good. I don't have the windows to go with it though.
I'm 6'1" and had to lower my seat 2" just to be able to drive it.. Forget wearing a helmet under it.
I say go for it!
I hear that.... but, what do you do when your car needs an alignment? This is the only time when I let someone else touch any of my cars. Thank god I haven't had to get the Viper aligned yet.
