Make sure to get the NTO5R's and not the NT05's. I find the NTO5's don't stick worth a damn. I can break them loose in 3rd rolling on it around 60mph.
Awesome thread, love the info, and an excellent read.
DIY FTW!
I have to agree, gen 1 hood, front bumper and side exhaust, GTS roof/trunk/rear bumper, and then the GenIII 10 spokes. Best mix of all 3 gens IMHO.. Well done Mitch!
I've also been wondering this, and plan on attempting the swap at some point. From what limited info there is out there, I think the doors will bolt on, but you will need the windshield frame for the weather strip and such (to seal the windows). I also believe the sports bar to be different too...
So I put a fitting in the exhaust pre-turbo so I could measure back pressure today. I found that the back pressure to boost ratio is right around 2:1, even at 5500rpm. I did several pulls around 5-6psi and then a couple at 10 to 14psi. You typically want the ratio as low as possible, why still...
I've also been contemplating this lately as well. I don't have any leaks, but the core looks like it may be getting soft. I figured I would just get it reworked to a 3 core. What was the cost of recoring vs new aluminum rad?
As a side note, I have had zero heating issues with my stock...
The internet is the worst place to try and express sarcasm.
You could have just summed it up by saying you hate welfare Viper owners.. This could have saved valuable time.. lol
Talk about the understatement of the year! Most hospitals aren't as clean as your car lol..
Lifted from another thread.
Quoted from your first post:
I'm new here, bought my first Viper last year. The only reason I bought the car was because it was what I wanted, and what other...
Like someone already mentioned, the walbro has a built in check valve so you would have a redundant system adding the check valve. I also don't know if I like the idea of mixing different pumps to run in parallel.
I like where you're going, and agree that just because we drive a "Viper"...
:rolaugh:
I am also a douche, #1 and #10 FTW!
It's all meaningless anyhow, I buy what I want/like for myself, not so other people will perceive me in a certain way I want them to.
Went with the 275's up front, but they aren't NT05's. I cheaped out cause I was concerned I may not like the NT05's. So far so good though. Are you running NT05's on the front too?
Later,
Thanks, it's actually a Moose Light Lime, which is just Moose Light with lime.. (duh, lol) I'm not a big Moose green fan, but I will find some Alpine cans/bottles for the next photo shoot. ;)
Later,
Thanks guys, I'm really happy with them. Call me crazy, but I prefer these over any of the aftermarket options available. The only thing I would consider getting rid of these for would be the SRT 5 spokes.
Later,
Finally got my rear tires after a 3.5 week wait. (slack ebay seller) I bought the rims back in the spring, but just purchased the tires now.
A few shots from today, still need some center caps.
Here are a couple high res shots.
Car is working well still, haven't turned the...
You only get wear patterns on flat tappet lifters of yester-year. The roller lifters can be reused if you don't drastically change the profile or go to a solid roller cam.
I think it would be pretty hard to do a cam swap with the heads on, but I'm sure there are some crafty people around...
Two turbos did the trick for me, :drive: , but I have side exhaust with muffler and cat delete. (I wouldn't call the 3" magnaflow muffler a muffler lol)
Hate to bring this back from the dead, but, has anyone purchased a set of these center caps? Pics?
Just finally got my 10 spokes on my 95, sans center caps..
Thanks,
I installed a VEC3 in my 95 over the winter to tune my DIY TT system. Not sure what gains you will get on a stock motor, but if you plan on adding a supercharger, it's not a bad idea to get the tuning part sorted out before adding the supercharger.
My VEC3 install...
