How to quiet down Corsa "Track" exhaust

After doing to some research here I came across a thread that indicated adding High Flow cats to the Corsa system seemed to quiet it down a bit. Anyone out there have experience or knowledge in this matter? I bought the car with the system on it and it gets tiresome after a while in the cabin...

How much Oil for Paxton Supercharger?

Manual says use synthetic Mobil 1 10w30? I read the threads here and it seems that the oil guy (Tom) prefers Deisel 5W40 synthetic. any thoughts on this? Also, when putting oil in and the dip stick reads full, is that full for the engine and supercharger or just full for the engine? Again...

How much Oil for Paxton Supercharger?

Any thoughts or feelings about what type of oil might be best for this application (Gen III)? Also, since the supercharger uses the oil from the car, I was advised to put in extra at each oil change? How many quarts is that? I have notes from previous owner he was using 9 qrts. Thanks

I have a 2006 Coupe with 3.55 gears AND Paxton Novi supercharger. Gear changes are quick at WOT.

    Good Deal? 2006 Supercharged Coupe

I got the car today. It also has 3.55 gears in it so whoever said pairing a supercharger with 3.55 gears meant "alot of shifting" was right. Funny thing is that the car has 750 HP (at the crank and at sea level) but you can hardly spend any time in that power area before you have to shift...

    Good Deal? 2006 Supercharged Coupe

Compression and leak down came back really good from the Viper Tech. Each cylinder was 140-145 (and I am at altitude).

    Good Deal? 2006 Supercharged Coupe

I would have preferred a stock Viper but there were none for sale (Gen III) in my entire region except this one. The car has progressive power, stock down low and much higher power up the rev range. I didn't have a need for so much power, just a need for a Viper Coupe. It just so happens it...

    Good Deal? 2006 Supercharged Coupe

Hello, I am about to join the Viper club tomorrow, but wanted to get some feedback from the forum. I found a 2006 Coupe, Black with White Stripes, Paxton supercharger installed by Woodhouse Dodge, 13,000 miles, 08' Hood, Corsa, Headers, short throw shifter. Car was dyno'd at 660HP+ at the...

For the Paxton guys, rebuilt bottom end/pistons or no? 8lbs of boost normal/safe/excessive?

    Used Supercharger Paxton

I'm 39, I have plenty of time to buy a Viper. If I really wanted to I could get the Viper, but I have a 2007 MW M5 to trade in, want to talk about resale value? Hammered. High gas prices, poor economy and uncertainty do not bode well for 500 HP V10 sedans.... The Z06 was 13k cheaper, 1 year...

    Used Supercharger Paxton

When choosing one thing over another there is always compromise. The Viper is a unique vehicle and the Corvette is not. However, BOTH exist in an unique envelope of performance few people will ever experience, and both are uniquely American in their focused pursuit of affordable, high...

    Used Supercharger Paxton

Hey, I'm being honest....:rolaugh::rolaugh: The Viper is a beast and probably best served on a track. It is a an incredible car and rare and I see why it is desirable. In a perfect world perhaps I would own both OR.... marry someone else who is a car freak like me. If I was single, hands...

    Used Supercharger Paxton

Drove the Z06 modified with Cams and headers, much more livable for the wife. Nothing will equal the Viper for sheer uniqueness and Brutality. I just can't sell that to the wife.

I don't know for sure yet. I am test driving a Z06 tomorrow. Promised myself I would before making a decision.

    Used Supercharger Paxton

Members, Any thoughts on what the value of a used Paxton Supercharger for Gen III would be? Less than 5000 miles on it? Thinking of buying a Viper and returning it to stock. Thx

    2006 Viper Supercharged

Again, I agree with you, but remember I am looking at a car from the DEALER, not an individual seller. It is a moot point since I have decided to save up for Gen IV next year, hopefulyl there will be some good deals then.

    2006 Viper Supercharged

I don't disagree, but given market conditions, you have to have some basis for "objective" car values. Obviously all prices are local and dependent on buyer and seller. I think what I will do is save up a little more and just get the Gen 4 Viper Coupe.

    2006 Viper Supercharged

I don't know if it is warranted or not, but I am placing a value on having a stock Viper over a modified one. I will keep it 2 years tops and then sell it. I don't know if modified Vipers "translate" well in the pre-owned markets? KBB has a retail stock Viper 2006 at $57k. Modified or not...
