Gen 1; Mopar hardtop vs. 3 piece *advice*

Those flush fit low tops look slick and the 3 piece is a great idea, but I'm 6'4" and even with a seat kit it wouldn't work for me. Mopar top is OK, I keep the top off most of the time anyway.

Winter Hibernation - Does EVERYONE do it?

Agreed! Drive it year 'round. All we gotta worry about here are those days when it hits 115.:crazy2:

Sorry to hear about your loss. I hate to see another white and blue go away.

    Headlight Switch

No, that was for the switch only, I used the existing knob. Does the knob come off the end or does the whole stem come out of the switch. I doubt that the stem could go bad. You can reach under the dash and feel for the light switch assembly. On the top there is a button that releases the...

    Headlight Switch

I had to replace the headlight switch on my '96 today. Last Saturday, I was driving along about dusk, as it got darker I noticed that my headlights were off. I jiggled the switch and they came on. They worked again on the way home, but once I got home, they were done. I did a search and...

    Tires at Costco

I bought my tires, PS2s, at Costco. They were able to mount them with no problem and did a great job. It took quite a while, only because they really took their time, were real careful (with me watching closely and insisting that only I move the car). It's funny, when I ordered the tires they...

    Viper road trip...

Congrats! I knew you would enjoy the drive. Eddie's a great guy and he'll take care of your baby. Shoot me a PM some time and we'll go for a drive.:drive:

    New here!

DRIVE IT!!! I picked mine up in Texas earlier this year and drove it back to Phoenix. It was one of the greatest experiences of my life. I got to get used to the car over a nice long trip. I went with a buddy of mine and we took turns driving. Gave me time to read the owner's manual and...

Diary of a new (to me) Viper owner

I think I posted this before, but I'll repeat myself. I took the Viper up to the gas station/convenience market one night to fill it up. I went inside to buy something and when I came out, there was a young guy standing next to my car with an awestruck look on his face. He had ridden up on a...

Paint advice for 1996 rt10 stripe

Or try JonB, someone told me that he had them when I was thinking about striping my hardtop. Probably do it next summer.

Diary of a new (to me) Viper owner

Congrats on the purchase, cool story. The attention is hard to get used to, it never gets old though. Everyone will ask you how much it cost you, how fast it will go, tell you about their car and compare it to yours, and you'll get every guy in town wanting to race you. It's all fun though...

OK, who's hiding out in AZ w/ a white viper?

My car fits that description perfectly, less the sticker and the damage, and I expected them to come by or contact me, but nothing. Maybe they just looked through the window of the garage.:dunno:

    Hot Battery Charger

Get the Battery Tender Plus (the Battery Tender Junior is ok for a motorcycle). I used to have problems with the batteries on my boat and motorcycle. Both are seasonal and I never remember to start them once in a while so I'd end up buying a new battery for each every year. Got a Battery...

    Wow! that's alot of paint!

I had to stop looking at the pictures when I threw up in my mouth. That might look good on a skateboard or a goalie's mask, but it sure ruined that car.

OK, who's hiding out in AZ w/ a white viper?

Oh heck, there's 3 of those in my neighborhood. C'mon here, how hard is it for them to find this car? I'm the last person to bash the cops (for an obvious reason), but they should have this guy in jail already. If there's more than 8 cars total in the state that fit that description I'd be...

OK, who's hiding out in AZ w/ a white viper?

In all the times that I've dealt with the local media, they've yet to get a story completely accurate. I'm willing to bet what they call a bumper sticker is really a windshield banner. Most of the time when doing a story, the print media guys will scribble down a few notes, then fill in the...

OK, who's hiding out in AZ w/ a white viper?

Yikes! I went through that at the beginning of the summer with the new water pump and thermostat $1,000 repair. At least the thing runs cool now. By the way, it only took them 2 days to burn through a grand of mine, at least their taking their time spending your money.:D

OK, who's hiding out in AZ w/ a white viper?

What's wrong with yours anyway that's taking a month to fix? I'm taking a half day off next Sunday to go on the Tortilla Flat cruise, get it out of the shop and go for a drive.

OK, who's hiding out in AZ w/ a white viper?

While we're on the subject, I obviously know that there were approximately 324 made in 1996 with that color combo. Anyone know what other years that combination was produced, and how many?

    Interior detailing??

I agree on the Zaino. It smells great and you can use it on the plastic parts too. Good UV protection and not too glossy. Their glass polish is incredible too. I'm not a complete Zaino junkie, didn't like all the products, but the leather stuff is great.
