    Dave's Proportioning Valve ISSUES!

Link attached on the same subject, for your info - it may help. http://forums.viperclub.org/rt-10-gts-discussions/632154-help-needed-installing-rear-brake-line-prroportioning-valve.html My biggest problem turned out to be "how do I flare steel pipework" - your cheap-and-chearful pipe...

    Dave's Proportioning Valve ISSUES!

I agree - instructions on the Wilwood valve I fitted last winter said:- "Rotating the knob counterclockwise will incrementally reduce line pressure up to 57% when the valve is fully out." I only fitted the Wilwood valve though, leaving the OEM Combination Valve And Brake Waring Switch unit in...

    Power Steering Plastic Reservoir

Call Chuck - he sorted me out with a new reservoir a few yrs ago - it didn't cost too much. It needed replacing due to a leaking 'O' ring.

    Rear wing (GT2 ) questions.......

Baz, I have an Autoform wing bolted behind the licence plate on my 96 GTS - I couldn't see the wind in the link to Autoform above but if it's the same, it bolts through to a steel plate in the trunk and is plenty strong enough. Ade.

How do I avoid swirl marks in the paint?

I've gotta agree with you 100% JMan - using a dual action machine will provide ONLY good results (with the correct products you talk about above and the correct cleaning and machining techniques). After building up enough confidence to go anywhere near my beloved snakes paintwork with...

Top Gear Track, Charity day, UK

Nice one Mark - fab photos and great charitable result. Your next mod needs to be installation of brake cooling - I managed to avoid boiling at my last trackday with only cool air ducts fitted (haven't fitted hub shrouds to direct air yet). Ade

    Speeding Tickets from Space

Which is an offence in the UK but is not stringently reinforced. The UK already has extremely well signposted speed cameras that calculate average speed over a set distance so I fail to see what "satellite technology" will do.

    Please help...

"Get the battery sorted first" - is it good or is it bad??? An obvious statement so I'll apologize in advance but the car needs to be able to 'stand alone under its own power' before you start fault-finding - it will display all sorts of strange happenings (doors, lights, locks, alarm etc)...

hey i cant seem to figure out this light,,,

As said, your first point of call should be your service manual, however I've looked at mine and it looks pretty straighforward - it looks like a clip that wedges the LED unit in place that you get access to by removing the licence plate lamp closure. Good luck

Any tips on changing oil. Just noticed my car jack cant get under neath.

I assume when you say "your car jack" you're NOT talking about "the car jack that came with the car" which is designed to fit underneath. I guess you're talking about a trolley jack. I'd start by use the jack that came with the car - "jack each side up then drop onto some 2-inch wood blocks"...

    electrical wizards help!

What's the type/model of the low current flash control relay you are using? I fitted LEDS to my 96 GTS a couple of years ago but DID NOT experience what you've described ALTHOUGH I'm NOT using a LED friendly flash control relay. Instead I have the original flasher relay with ballast...

I screwed up and need some help.

That's an interesting statement:- "remove the pos cable from the battery and 'scrach it against the post' for about 1 min!" Is this some sort of initiation ceremony for new plug leads. lol

Help needed with installing a rear brake line prroportioning Valve

Re: Help needed with installing a rear brake line proportioning Valve OKAY - thanks JonB. Here you go: "I am NOT installing a rear prop valve on a '96 with OE Brakes" That makes me feel better too. Prop v/v installation is part of the Winter project that will also see rear brakes...

Help needed with installing a rear brake line prroportioning Valve

I'm trying to install a Wilwood Proportioning Valve on the rear brake line of my 96 GTS to enable fine throttle adjustment of the rear brakes. Do I need to Drop the Oil Pan to Remove the Rear Seal?

    leaking GTS

For trunk leaks, I agree - the real window seal is a prime culprit. I’ve hopefully just resolved a trunk leak problem on my 96 GTS – the seal was not pressed firmly onto the body so rain water was seeping underneath. This was particularly a problem on the tight bends close to the drain tube...
