PWM is a common and most efficient method to speed control DC motors.
Roe uses PWM (pusle width modulation) to vary the W/M motor speed. The wider the pulse the faster the motor turns.
If you wire in the green LED you can see the pulses at part throttle.
I had a custom tank made...if I can...
Kelly we have been focusing on finishing our house project so anything car related is on the back burner.
Less than 100 mi on the Viper in 18 months :omg::omg::omg:
We hope to rap it up in the next couple of months and expect to be ready for car stuff in Spring.:)
How are things with...
Nate it sounds like you are off to a good start.
You may need more fuel or less timing at the transition point... I had the same problem when I installed W/M. Also you can adjust the fuel trim for each injector to fix the plug issue.
To do this yourself install a A/F monitor...I use the...
The cards supplied with the 5 lb roe kit are OK as is. You may be able to improve the AF but this will vary with ambient temp. A card for each season is one way to deal with this or a VEC3 with a compensating feature.(needs to be adjusted as well)
I have the VEC2, 6lb pulley using W/M and...
Did you install a AF monitor? Do you have the Roe logging program to tweak the VEC?
Learning how to adjust AF is not difficult then visit a local dyno and do it yourself
If you have questions Sean is available to help.
This is how I did it...I dont know of any dyno shops in the Metro area...
I thought the prices for a # 1 car were sky high until I restored a 69 HEMI Charger.
Parts and body work easily exceeded the market price for the car... at time I sold it.
I never saw a low mile original muscle car...that 3K 71 Hemi Challenger belongs in a safe or museum.
Synfull I tried tuning my Roe on a Dynojet twice with mixed results..it does not load the engine like street driving.
This was a good start for a baseline tune but the final tuning was done on a closed course. This requires an aftermarket A/F monitor and VEC software.
My O2 isensor is at...
It depends...:dunno:
Do you plan to wrench your cars on this lift? If so how tall are you?
Viper on a Revolution lift and 10'3" ceiling provides a comfortable working height for me. ( 6"3")
There is enough room underneath to park a SUV.
The locking height is adjustable on the...
CROM do both...sorta.
Weld O2 bungs ( both sides) and cap them to prepare for future engine mods.
Install the shifter of your choice.
Installed the B&M to help with the 3rd to 2nd shift error...better than stock but still requires caution.
Driving on the Dulles toll road...approaching the toll booth with a Jeep Wrangler ahead of us.
The Jeep driver pays the toll, opens his door, gets out and looks in our direction, makes the fang sign with his hand and then drives off.
We pull up to the booth to pay and the toll taker said the...
Bellanger headers and hiflo cats can be purchased as a package.
Lou supplied Carsound (Magnaflow) hiflo cats for my car...could this be the reson he does not recommend another brand?
The header/cat combination made the car much louder. Neighbors were not happy so I moved...nobody around...
Chris I ran a 5lb Roe with stock headers and cats on my 2001 GTS for about 1 year. After installing the Belanger headers and cats the car is louder and it pulls harder above 4500rpm.
Installed the 6.5lb pulley and W/M later which improved low end performance.
Both Kelly and I used the same band clamps and muffler tape (available at your local auto parts store). Tape the joints first and then clamp over the tape.
Kinda smelly for awhile but in service for two+ years without a leak.
Jon seems to provide extra special pricing during those bashing posts. Last time I bought HRE wheels and Pilots...another HRE dealer thought I was lying when they heard his price.
I am patiently waiting for the next opportunity to place an order. :rolaugh:
Re: What mod did you LUST after...and when you finally got it....well...it just SUCKE
Smart move selling that Challenger IMO.
69 Charger took 7 years and a boat load of money to complete. :omg:
Now for the Viper...those gauge trim rings were a waste. They will appear in the classifieds...

Last news from Colin..he was tweaking the VEC 1 that I sold him then it was off to foreign lands on business.
Wait a minute Scotland is a foreign land. :omg: Oh well. :dunno:
We don't use BHP in these parts...this rating method was dropped in the early 70s and replaced with SAE net.
If you are looking at Dyno numbers the rockers my add 15 to 20 hp, the filters and smooth tubes another 10 and the Corsa without Cats possibly 20 to 30.
Since Colin did some of the...
Curious about the footers...were the footer forms set and poured on top of the final footer grade or were they set above grade?
Yes Tony the footer forms were set and poured on top of the final footer grade. They were shooting for 8" of concrete but it varied from 9" to 15" in some areas. The...
Thanks Tony
The Viper forum is fantastic when members share information like this.
The center of the garage floor is solid VA clay but the footers were overdug, due to all the rocks, and will have to be filled in.
30 ton of #57 was needed to prep the breezway (30 X 14) and probably just as...
I am about to do the same...garage floor is 36x36
Contractor wants to poor fiber reinforced concrete...says no rebar or wiremesh required.
Anybody familiar with this stuff?
The weight of a Viper and lift combined is about the same as large SUV. Why should the floor require special...
