The pics made me ill... I hope everything works out, and BTW your "before" pic from January is AWSOME ! GREAT LOOKING CAR ! Get it fixed right or get another one ! What a cool color combo.
Re: Gotta Love it! Frickin\' 33* and SNOWING!
I was in the Lyndhurst area (around Cleveland OH) this evening and they had 1-2 inches on the ground, high winds and blowing snow. There was some poor guy in a newer turbo porsche with NY plates, in the right lane with his hazard lights on...
I have never had that problem, but I would suggest visiting a viper tech who can do a diagnostic check. Guessing and replacing parts hasn't worked thus far and is costing you more than the diag would have. In short, take the car to someone who knows what they are doing and is familiar with the...
VIC: You win ! How could he have driven over 20 or 30 miles an hour without ripping the wing or trunk lid off. The attachment points look pretty small. Gotta hand it to that guy, he knows how to mock others ( a great quality ). The only way he could have been funnier would be to have a an...
Toby: Looks like you guys had fun ! The weather was perfect for your event which is tricky here in OH. If it weren't on the other side of the state, I would have attended. Keep up the interest and planning and you will continue to have fun.
Thanks for the pics !
I have never seen a convertible in any make of car that I have liked ( especially with the top up ). I don't even like T-Tops and the like. I just like the body lines of the hard top cars...
For what it's worth I always have someone else help me raise and lower the hood. I have no flexing or cracking issues ( yet ). I also talked to the detail shop about two people raising the hood, and told them where the hood brace is for closing the monster once it is open. So far, so good.
The Ohio club doesn't seem to do that much. There are some drag events midstate and in the northern parts of the state. John Wojnar & Myself are planning a cruise in June for the Akron/Canton area. Of course any out of area participation is encouraged. ( I will post when things are...
If you use leaded fuel it will ruin your O2 sensors, ( and cats ) but unleaded CAM2 etc will be fine. I don't think you will notice much by the seat of your pants, but if you run it straight, the exhaust will smell a lot better...
What a shame you guys have to have front plates. My state requires them also, but I have never had a front plate on any of my cooler cars, just some of the daily beaters.
IEATVETS: I think the word "heated" in your storage description, is the key to your successful battery life. I have my car in heated storage ( 60F ) also without the alarm set, and expect the same results as you have. ie, turn the key and start.
Now the wait for Spring weather to arrive...
Last year Optima did list a replacement size for the Viper, but they have removed it from the catalog. I think in "some' cars it would fit, (and because the cars are hand made/built) and some cars it was a smidge to tall.
onerareviper: The red line product I used to get was discontinued about 7-8 yrs ago. I don't remember the exact name. I used to buy it when I worked at Summit Racing Equipment. It was very strong and produced immediate results within only a mile or two from the fill up point.
Several cars I...
