Did you get the RB1 Navigator option? AFAIK, the base model SHOULD come with the 6CD changer just like 2006 and previous year models did...
My gut react is that either you ordered the RB1 option, or something went wrong in assembly (wrong unit put in!).

Well, the first few times I opened/closed it, I did not realize that the latch needs to be in the "loaded" position for an easy closure. (Pull the handle all the way back to get the latch in the right position).
The latch is a bit like a gun. You need to c0ck it first, and when you secure the...
FWIW, a brand new 2006 Viper costs 179,000 Euros in Finland (=US $285,000 with today's fx rate) due to very high taxation. From what I can recall, it cost 105k Euros in Germany...

Nothing to fix! Leave the vert the way it is. I like the distiction between the vert and coupe, and my preference is the vert, not only because the top goes down...

Uh.... In the late 80's I drove an Opel Manta (RWD, no TC of course) in snow for 4+ months of the year (in Finland). Lots of snow... Tires with spikes, yes, but no other nannies...
Obviously, what I and most other people did in Finland back then, cannot be done... Wow! :cool:

The cool thing is not the navigation, but the iPod integration capability (the big display will display artist/song name, etc).
That's the main reason I ordered the nav. Not for the navigator ...

I try to keep it around 1000-1250 all the time. That's why no other car feels asgood as the Viper! If you need to go above 1500 (except when accelerating), you might as well use a car with a high-rpm asian sewing machine type of engine... :rolaugh:
Both my Viper and Mustang run great on 800...
Well, the coupe just isn't as good looking as the roadster IMHO. (The hard top does not look good, especially so not in red color, and the silver gas cap belongs on a Hummer, not on a pretty sports car).
Which just makes us wonder why they used the Coupe and not a roadster... If it needs to be...
Ah, my quotation would be "yep, it's a Pontiac". Happened every time I took the '97 Trans Am through a puddle of water, and the engine stopped. (Pontiac service never found the problem. Sold the car at 70k miles).
So far '06 SRT is running fine with more than 5,000 miles on the odo in less...
I see these posts about placing orders, yet the official MSRP is still unknown...
Dodge web pages say "pricing available soon"
My Viper dealer (who is one of the ones with the nations largest allocaton) has not contacted me with pricing, although I've repeatedly told him I'm intersted in...
Huh.?... Well, I guess I'll get another membership when I purchase the next Viper. So long, until then... (Won't be long ). I'll try to time my purchase for January this time :)
Peter
Yep. This is getting a bit awkward. Please learn to release the clutch slowly. (This way you immediately FEEL if it's in the wrong gear before it's too late!) Clutch discs can easily be replaced... (I'm not easy on the gas pedal, but I AM easy on the clutch... flame me if you want! :D )

I've always worn a seatbelt, and I always will.
In Finland, they educate people and show freaky pictures of what's left of people that did not wear the seat belt. Then they show the statistics... And then they tell IT'S THE LAW and then all the all Finns abide :D
On the other hand, the...
Purchased on 5/6/2006 (paperwork completed) and delivered on 5/16/2006, which means I should still have one month left on my VCA membership, right?
Car has manufacturing date of 03/06, but that should make no difference, right?
Thanks,
Peter
Yep, I noticed that too. It says 16 gal (70L). However, 16 US Gal is NOT 70 metric liters.
It appears 70 liters is correct. The "16" figure is obviously wrong...
70L=18.5 US Gallons
70L=15.4 UK Gallons

The number of vent slots decreases from 10 to 6. I think this may actually decrease the manufacturing cost. The black speakerlike mesh probably doesn't cost much in comparison to the actual hood.
Peter
I pick up the oil and filter myself (Mobile 0W40 is $59.80 and a Napa Gold filter is $6.50). The local Vipertech at the Dodge dealer does the work for ~$10.
So, with tax I pay ~$80 per oil change...
